I, the parikalpita, as well as Suchness and Correct Knowledge, these five are called the Five Dharmas, which are explained in detail in many Mahayana sutras, especially the Lankavatara Sutra and the Ghanavyuha Sutra. Among them, the cause is the movement of sound and consciousness, which is the general characteristic of the object or place of expression of the parikalpita, that is the cause. For example, the general characteristic that appears in the mind, which is held by the way of holding of the parikalpita that thinks of a pot. The nature of the name is the expression and the general appearance of the word that is imputed based on that cause, which is called the name. For example, that which is held by the way of holding of the parikalpita that holds the pot, those that appear in the innate mind. Among them, there are also two kinds of characteristics: the characteristic produced by realization and the characteristic produced by fame. The first is that the habit of seeing blue in the past is stored in the alaya consciousness, and the power of that awakening causes blue to appear manifestly in this life, like this. The second is that the power of the habit of holding the name and meaning in relation in previous lives causes different names to exist in this life due to different objects, but when one sees a blue object, the mind that wants to express "blue" arises spontaneously, like this. The reason why it is called the characteristic produced by fame is that the name "blue" and the blue that is blue are neither the same in nature nor related to each other. However, the fame that is imputed by the realization of the world is established in this way. Second, the cause of the image is the attachment to self, etc., which is imputed by wrong views. That is to say, most people think that for sentient beings such as animals who are ignorant and deluded, and for those who are human but whose minds have not been transformed by bad philosophies, the appearance of the imputed self, etc., does not appear in their minds. In the Madhyamakavatara, it is also said: "Those who have been animals for many kalpas, they also do not understand the unborn self, seeing them arise with self-grasping here." etc. However, this is not necessarily the case, because the habits imputed by bad philosophies in previous lives are stored in the alaya consciousness, and the power of that complete awakening causes the appearance of the imputed by bad philosophies to appear in this life, even if one has not entered a philosophy.
