Because of the inconceivable nature, the post-attainment of the path of seeing may also last for a long time. Fourth, explaining the ten grounds of the path of cultivation, including: nature, classification, the nature of the path of cultivation, and merits. First, the virtue that has already realized the reality of the four truths and makes it familiar, becoming the gateway to liberation, is the nature of the path of cultivation. The post-attainment of the Mahayana is direct perception, which has the same meaning as the Mahayana path of cultivation. Second, classification: From the perspective of the entity, it is divided into two types: equipoise and post-attainment, or into three types: small, medium, and large, a total of nine types. Third, the nature of the path of cultivation, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: After the path of seeing, the bodhisattva cultivates the remaining parts of the first ground of the path of seeing. Because of cultivating these two forms, he can extremely subdue the Dharma of the Buddha and the minds of sentient beings. How is it done? The wisdom of equipoise without discrimination can subdue the Dharma of the Buddha. Others abide in reality, the post-attainment of the transcendent is pure, and worldly people can make sentient beings fully mature. During the path of cultivation, the eightfold noble path should be cultivated, and their object is the Dharma nature of the four truths that has already been realized. The form is to gradually make it familiar. Among the eight, right view is: To hold firmly and without doubt to the suchness experienced in the path of seeing is the branch of complete severance. Right thought is: The meaning of thinking as it is, the motivation expressed in language, therefore it is the branch that makes others understand. Right speech is: To determine through questioning, prophecy, and dialogue, thereby believing that the view is completely pure. Right action is: The wisdom of the precepts that shows the perfection of conduct is completely pure. Right livelihood is: To seek clothing and other things according to the Dharma and to abandon all wrong livelihoods, thereby knowing that life is completely pure. These three are the branches that make others believe. Right effort is: To gradually eliminate the remaining obstacles to be abandoned through cultivation. Right mindfulness is: By not forgetting the reasons for calm abiding and so on, to prevent agitation and

Without intermingling, and true samadhi is abandoning the obscurations of absorption, as well as the obscurations of manifestation and so on. These three are the limbs of purifying obscurations. Thus, the gathering of all eight is the nature of the path of meditation, and each part is its limb. The post-attainment of the path of seeing, together with the first half of the first ground, and the latter half of the first ground should be known as the path of meditation. Fourth, there are nine ways to explain the qualities. First, the way of transferring the ground is: even if one obtains the wisdom of directly realizing selflessness, one cannot consciously abide in the subtle aspects of falling conceptualizations. As long as this situation exists, it is still the first ground. Abandoning it is the second ground. After that, as long as one can simultaneously enter into all worldly samadhis and can retain all the meanings of what is heard, it is considered the third ground. After that, obtaining mastery over the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, being able to abide in them many times, and abandoning attachment to entering into samadhi and attachment to the dharmas of the scriptures, is the fourth ground. After that, relying on meditating on the meaning of the four truths, one obtains mastery over the mind, so that one does not lean towards either samsara or nirvana, nor does one manifest, is the fifth ground. After that, similarly, the conventional truth, which is different from the solitary realizers, and the order of dependent origination of the ultimate truth, and its nature of reality, through extreme practice, one obtains absorption in the cessation of the realm of dharma, no longer weary of samsara, and manifesting in the realm of dharma, is the sixth ground. Apart from that, the seventh ground, even with diligent effort, can obtain the freedom to constantly abide in signless samadhi. In the first six grounds, although one does not want to generate conceptualizations with signs, they may sometimes arise. But in this ground, this situation does not occur, unless one wants to generate it, one can abide in signlessness. After that, because of effortlessly and spontaneously abiding in signlessness, realization and wisdom are not interrupted, therefore one does not regress, and one obtains great forbearance towards the unborn dharma, is the eighth ground. After that, individually
