And it shows that it is the same as the unchanging Dharma. Third, there are three explanations of the examples and meanings of lineages: showing the two lineages with examples, how to obtain the three bodies from them, and combining them with examples. First, showing the two lineages with examples: For example, an inexhaustible treasure, unlike being obtained through effort, but like being in the ground from the beginning, the realm that exists in the nature of mind from beginningless time, the Dharma realm is completely pure, adorned with all the qualities of the Buddha, and exists in itself from the beginning, this is the naturally existing lineage; just as trees with fruits obtained through the efforts of beings gradually grow in the garden, focusing on the nature lineage, the virtues newly obtained through efforts such as hearing and thinking are the growing lineage. Second, the way to obtain the three bodies from it: the fruit three bodies are obtained from the cause nature and the two types of growing lineages. That is, the naturally existing lineage, through complete habituation to the collection of wisdom, free from all temporary defilements, obtains the Dharmakaya with two purities; through complete habituation to the collection of deeds and merits, from the growth of the growing lineage, the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya, which appear near and far to the tamable beings, are obtained. Third, combining examples and meanings: The Dharmakaya of ultimate reality is similar to the seventh example, the body made of jewels, because it is naturally accomplished from the beginning and not newly made through effort, and because it is like a treasure of inexhaustible virtues such as power. The Sambhogakaya is similar to the eighth example, the Chakravartin, just as the Chakravartin enjoys the wealth of the seven treasures and the four continents, the Sambhogakaya fully enjoys the kingship of the Mahayana Dharma. The Nirmanakaya, which appears commonly to the tamable beings, is similar to the ninth example, the golden image, to various tamable beings.
