Likewise, the very nature of mind, in all its forms, though possessing endless aspects of differentiation, in essence, is none other than the all-pervasive dharmadhatu encompassing samsara and nirvana. Within this dharmadhatu, the phenomena of mundane elaboration have never existed from the very beginning. Although deluded appearances do not arise from the original state itself, due to the power inherent in the luminous nature of mind, akin to gold, the mindstream, or consciousness, is self-aware and self-illuminating, like the rust of gold. Through the power of being tainted by various habitual tendencies, diverse appearances of deluded results arise. For example, depending on the thickness of the haze in the eye, images of hairs and the like appear in varying quantities. Similarly, when the habitual tendencies of delusion in one's own mind become thicker and more intense, the fruits of delusion also become more diverse and numerous. Then, through the yogi's practice of the path, the habitual tendencies of delusion become thinner, less, and smaller. As a result, the fruits of delusion do not become diverse but become more stable, decreasing and eventually disappearing altogether, which is clearly seen, like the sons of the Buddha. Therefore, all phenomena of mundane elaboration are proven to contradict the ultimate truth. If the mundane exists, it must exist as either one or many. However, something that is neither one nor many cannot be an object of consciousness and conceptualization, because whatever is mundane is solely an object of consciousness and conceptualization. The ultimate dharmadhatu is free from all elaborations such as one and many, and thus is considered the ultimate truth only by way of imputation as a commonality. This "commonality" refers to those who assert self-emptiness, because they also consider the ultimate truth to be merely empty of things like the eye. However, not establishing the basis of emptiness, the ultimate stainless wisdom possessing all aspects, as a mere absence, but primarily establishing it as the complete wisdom that eliminates all obstacles, is the uncommon tenet of this school. Moreover, for the remaining eight emptinesses, such as the emptiness of compounded phenomena, each emptiness has its own specific purpose for contemplation, which can be understood from what has been said above. The latter of these, the emptiness of non-things, and things

The self-nature emptiness of no self and emptiness are both applicable to all fourteen emptinesses without distinction, because there is no other emptiness except these two, and these two are the summary of all emptinesses. Second, explaining the remaining four emptinesses: On top of those sixteen, adding the emptiness of non-apprehension and the emptiness of non-entity, and then adding the emptiness of self-character and the emptiness of other-character, there are twenty emptinesses. Among them, the emptiness of non-apprehension of time and place and the emptiness of non-entity are empty by imputation, and the rest are considered empty by themselves. Second, the detailed explanation is divided into the categories of names and the explanation of their meanings. The first is: In the Prajnaparamita Sutra, it says: Suchness, non-erroneous suchness, non-other suchness, dharma-nature, dharma-realm, dharma-abiding nature, dharma-flawless nature, ultimate reality, inconceivable realm, these nine are said to be the perfectly established. Second, explaining their meanings is divided into three parts: the actual meaning, incidentally identifying the nine examples of illusion, and showing how to return from the meaning represented by them. First, the actual meaning is: Suchness is a phenomenon, completely established as indestructible, because it always abides in suchness and does not perish; non-erroneous suchness is a phenomenon, completely established as not inverted, because there is no error or inversion; non-other suchness is a phenomenon, completely established as immutable, because its own nature does not change into another; dharma-nature is a phenomenon, completely established as its own nature, because the common characteristic of all dharmas is the nature of emptiness; dharma-realm is a phenomenon, completely established as the cause of all completely purified dharmas, because it is the realm and cause of all Buddha-dharmas such as the ten powers; dharma-abiding nature is a phenomenon, completely established at all times,
