It is obtained by meditating with one-pointedness. If you think that because we householders are distracted by the affairs of the kingdom, etc., we will not realize the truth by meditating a little, that is not correct. In the past, when the Buddha himself was alive, King Rupahrdaya and the householder Anathapindika, etc., were also householders who enjoyed the prosperity of wealth and enjoyment as if it were in their own laps. While enjoying sensual pleasures, they developed the wisdom of right view, crossed the river of afflictions, and attained the path of the noble ones. Also, those events in the past were due to the accumulation of vast amounts of merit and sharp faculties. If you say that we, who have little merit, cannot accomplish it in that way, then those who manifest the Dharma are not like grain falling from the sky, nor are they like sprouts emerging from the ground. Those people were previously dependent on afflictions. Those who, as householders, with sensual pleasures, directly realized the meaning of the Dharma nature, did not from the beginning naturally possess great merit and sharp faculties, appearing without cause as if falling from the sky or like sprouts emerging from the ground. Those people in the past were initially dependent on afflictions, that is, controlled by afflictions, ordinary individuals with dull faculties. By gradually becoming accustomed to the path of virtue, they matured their minds and later became sharp-witted, thus seeing the truth, so do not be discouraged. Now, to summarize the general meaning of all that has been said above: Fearless one, what do you ask for in front of the crowd? This is a beneficial instruction: Please tame your mind, the Blessed One said: The mind is the root of the Dharma. Cowardice means fear. The king is the ruler of the land, so he is fearless in this life, and by abandoning evil and practicing virtue, he is also free from the fear of suffering in the next life. Therefore, calling the king fearless, the teachings from the six recollections to the eightfold noble path, etc., are enough to explain the meaning. Now to you

There is no need to offer many foods, nor is there a need for anything. In short, whatever instructions rely on the continuum and become the cause of benefit and happiness, the essence of their meaning lies mainly in subduing the afflictions of one's own continuum. Therefore, King, you must subdue your own mind. The Blessed One said that subduing the mind is the root of all Dharmas. He said, "Subduing the mind is good." and "Completely subduing one's own mind, this is the teaching of the Buddha." If subduing the mind requires practicing the infinite aspects of Dharma mentioned above, if one thinks it is impossible to do so, then what kind of instruction do you have? Even a monastic bhikkhu finds it difficult to do. For this, whatever is the nature of practice, by relying on its merits, make one's life meaningful. If all of the above is abandoned and completely perfected, even bhikkhus find it difficult to do in the stage of ordinary beings, because it is the realm of the noble ones. Therefore, according to one's own mind, whatever Dharma classes etc. one wants to practice, learn as much as possible, the accumulation of merits will increase, and one's life will become meaningful, do so. A brief indication of the uncommon path and fruit of the Mahayana. Among the two, path and fruit, first, there are the grounds of the first practitioner, the ground of faith practice, and the ground of the noble ones. The first is: Praising the virtues of all beings, the three kinds of virtuous deeds that one has practiced well, dedicating them entirely for the sake of attaining Buddhahood. This is also the stage of the first practitioner. Relying on the Mahayana virtuous friend and generating the mind of Bodhicitta, although not directly shown in the text, are implied. Therefore, it needs to be supplemented with meaning. Relying on a virtuous friend, in the context of the common vehicle, relying on a virtuous friend, practicing celibacy, etc., what was said above is also needed here. For the sake of attaining Buddhahood, it indirectly shows the need to generate the mind of Bodhicitta. Therefore, relying on a virtuous friend and Bodhi
