Therefore, it is said in the Abhidharma-kośa that two embraces and holding hands, playing and watching are sexual acts. Similarly, the distinction is made through four paths, and the difference between the four divine yogas. Firstly, the Kriya Tantra is to take the pleasure of looking as the path, that is, the ritual of the Amoghapāśa, in detail: "The face of the Bhagavan should be turned to the angry wrinkles." And, "On the right side is the goddess Tara, with shyness, her body bent, her eyes fixed on the mudra of giving the supreme. On the left is the beautiful woman of the Padma family, with shyness, in accordance with the manner of mantra, her eyes fixed on the Amoghapāśa." And, it is said in the Vajraśekhara: "All the deities of the mandala should always abide on the white cloth. The man also looks at the woman, and the woman also looks at the man." And so on, all the detailed rituals of the Kriya Tantra are said in this way. The Charya Tantra is to take the pleasure of playing as the path, in the Abhisambodhi of Vairocana it says: "The great King Vairocana, should be painted as slightly smiling." And, "On his right is the goddess, called Buddha-locani, the goddess with a slightly smiling face, the mandala of light is one fathom long, the incomparable body is very clear, she is the mother of Shakyamuni." And, "The hero Avalokiteśvara, sits on a white lotus seat, like a conch and a Kunda moon, with Amitabha residing on his head, should be painted as slightly smiling. On his right is the goddess, called Tara the Great Fame, kind and dispelling fear." And so on, it is clearly stated. The Yoga Tantra is to take the pleasure of holding hands as the path, although it is not described in detail in other scriptures, it is clearly described in the Vajraśekhara. It says: "The goddess Vajra makes a clicking sound, her knees embracing her own goddess, her head resting on his chest, looking around with a smile, grasping the hand of the Bhagavan." And, it is said in the Shri Paramādya: "Beside him is the great Vajra, the arrow striving to be erected, completely embraced by soft hands, accompanied by the raising of the banner of discipline." It is said like this. The Anuttarayoga is to take the pleasure of union as the path, again from its own tantra classes.

Again, it is said that, in the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra, it says: The supreme consort of the Tathagata, one should meditate on the eyes and so forth. By the union of the two organs, one will attain the accomplishment of the Buddha. And in the Sambuta Tantra, it says: The selfless one unites with the co-emergent, the joy of two and two enters equally, it is the nature without waves. Secondly, regarding the Kriya Tantra, it is merely inviting the deity in front and reciting mantras, without self-generation as the deity, attaining accomplishment in the manner of a servant and master. In the Charya Tantra, one attains accomplishment in the manner of oneself and the deity as friends. In the Yoga Tantra, the external deity is placed only as a support for contemplation, and one mainly practices the yoga of the inner deity. None of these three use the term "generation stage" in a common meaning for the yoga of the deity, and there is no meditation in the manner of taking the aspect of purification as the path. In the Anuttarayoga Tantra, these are all present, and one meditates on all appearances as deities, and the self-generated deity does not have the practice of requesting them to depart to another place, and so on, surpassing with many distinctions. Therefore, because it mainly shows external actions, it is the Kriya Tantra. Because it practices both external and internal actions equally, it is the Ubhaya Tantra or the Charya Tantra. Because it knows that external actions have no essence, and mainly practices internal yoga, it is the Yoga Tantra. Because it knows that external and internal are equal, and only practices internal yoga, it is the Anuttarayoga Tantra. In the commentary on the condensed meaning of Hevajra, it says: Those who have little ability to meditate on Suchness and are very fond of practices with signs, mainly show those external practices, which is the Kriya Tantra Vajrasekhara. Also, in the same text, it says: Those who are also devoted to the distinctions of actions, and also combine the vast practices of skillful means and wisdom, and do not abandon the nature of the inner self and are happy, those are the Ubhaya Tantra, which corresponds to both action and yoga, called the Vajrapani Abhisheka. Also, in the manifestation of that same text, it says: This Tantra is mainly focused on meditation. And the commentary on the contemplation of Trailokyavijaya.
