Thinking that one should experience it, rejoicing and not being weary for the sake of all sentient beings is great love; generating the perception of seeing the guru as the Buddha for the gurus is honoring the guru, being equal to the guru; in order to ripen all sentient beings, not doing other things, completely training in the pāramitās is striving in the eighth, generosity, etc. The third ground is trained in five ways: thinking that one should take everything that the victorious ones of the ten directions have said, not knowing satisfaction, is not being satisfied with listening; even when teaching the Dharma, that virtue of giving with the Dharma, even without hope for enlightenment, is giving the Dharma without material gain; accomplishing the virtue of purifying the minds of oneself and others is completely purifying all Buddha-fields; practicing conduct is never becoming weary until all-knowingness is not complete, is not being weary of immeasurable samsara; harming the minds of hearers and self-realizers is abiding in knowing shame and having embarrassment, those are also the nature of not being arrogant, those are the five ways. The fourth is the purity of twelve aspects, being very far beyond the grounds of hearers and self-realizers is abiding in the forest; not even desiring unsurpassed enlightenment is having few desires; even having attained all-knowingness, not being arrogant is being content; the patience of definitely thinking about the profound Dharma is teaching the pure and correct Dharma; not being stingy with everything that is learned is not abandoning what is learned; not generating desire is denouncing the qualities of desire; not having manifest fabrication for all dharmas is the mind of nirvāṇa; not grasping internal and external dharmas is giving up all possessions; not applying the mind to those who abide in consciousness is not being discouraged; not paying attention to all things is not having attachment to all things, like that with ten purities. The fifth ground begins with abandoning ten things, like this, being born falsely, shaving hair and wearing saffron robes is abandoning association with householders; thinking that one should not generate a stingy mind in order for these sentient beings to become the happiness of my merit.

Abandoning attachment to household, that is, abandoning miserliness; the mind of Hearers and Solitary Realizers is clinging, abandoning birth in those places; not seeing internal and external dharmas as they truly are is praising oneself in turn; not truly seeing external dharmas is despising others, that is, abandoning reviling; killing and so on, even interrupt the good realms, what to say of the noble path and Bodhi? Therefore, abandon the ten paths of unwholesome actions; not seeing any dharma that can generate pride and arrogance is abandoning pride, abandoning arrogance; not focusing on things is abandoning perversion; abandoning evil thoughts is abandoning doubt; not seeing the nature of the three poisons is enduring afflictions, abandoning letting go; these ten dharmas to be abandoned as described, having abandoned them, one can truly attain the fifth ground. The sixth ground is: how many antidotes are perfected, and having completely abandoned the dharmas to be abandoned, can one attain the sixth ground? Six antidotes are perfected, and having abandoned six dharmas to be abandoned, one can attain it. The antidotes to be perfected are the six perfections. Because it is not the path to Bodhi, abandon the mind that delights in disciples and Hearers; because it is the path to Bodhi, it is the Bodhisattva who delights in Solitary Realizers; because it is not the path to Bodhi, abandon the mind that fears benefiting others; because it is not the mind of Bodhi, when a beggar begs, the mind is not discouraged; because it is not the path to Bodhi, even if one gives away all possessions, the mind will not be displeased; even if one is poor, one will not abandon beggars, from the moment of generating the initial Bodhicitta, give generously and fiercely; not thinking of sentient beings, therefore the sixth ground manifests, attaining the true fruit. The seventh ground has two aspects: the way to abandon faults, and the way to perfect qualities. The former is twenty: one should not cling to self and sentient beings, one should not cling to life, one should not cling to the person, because self and so on are without substance and without support. One should not cling to annihilation and permanence, because any dharma does not arise, therefore it will not become the two extremes of permanence and annihilation. One should not focus on characteristics, because everything
