The upper Hor, Tagzig, and other places had many heretical religions. Since no other virtuous spiritual friends came from Tibet, all aspects of Buddhism were in a state of bad religious customs. This master placed the tradition of teachings in a flawless state. In all the lands of the Sogpos, taking vows of fasting, abandoning the taking of life, taking the vows of a layperson, novice, and fully ordained monk, etc., were countless. This master himself spoke the meaning, and the learned Sogpo Bakshi compiled many sutras such as the "Zama Tok," and also translated many biographies and sadhanas into the Sogpo language, opening the eyes of people to the understanding of cause and effect. On the third day of the third month of the Dragon year, he set out from the land of Sog, and then gradually traveled through the northern route, arriving at the great monastery of Taklung Tang. To all the Sangha of U-Tsang, he offered immeasurable tea and donations as gifts, satisfying the minds of the Sangha. He invited Zhamar Konchok Yanlak and offered countless, unimaginable, and generous offerings. That holy one also offered to this master the Pandit Chokyi's personal deity image, the Thubpa Wangpo (Shakyamuni Buddha) Lhima image, famous for being handmade, which was extremely special. They maintained an unparalleled pure and sincere heart towards each other. Ah! You are the father of all Buddhas, what more can be said about your body, speech, and mind secrets to those who follow the sky? However, from the hundredfold shining of the light of compassion, the darkness of evil in the borderlands was uprooted. With reading, meditation, and discipline being complete, the land that was once full of wrong views has now become a corner of the Buddha land. This is truly the power of the Lama Dharma King! He subdued those who wield weapons and fire rain, and are not worthy of offerings. If these people are the workers of the Buddhas, then who is the wise messenger? This master's work is for the benefit of beings. Thus, beginning with the activities of subduing the borderlands, the slightly narrated chapter, is the sixth section. Then, in the Iron Female Snake year, on an auspicious waxing day of the month of Great Miracles (Tibetan New Year), the source of all the perfections of this world, the great Jokhang Temple of Lhasa.

In the main Tsuklakang (Tibetan: གཙུག་ལག་ཁང༌།), with the intention of renovating the great golden roof above where the central Jowo Rinpoche (Tibetan: ཇོ་བོ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་) resides, a propitious day was chosen to commence the work. The copper sheets were either directly hammered or polished as needed, and most were newly made. All the round arrow eaves, including the four dragon heads, were newly hammered. In total, this great golden roof was adorned with over five thousand sho of gold thread, decorated in various ways. The mercury and the six surrounding wooden components were all replaced and repainted. Additionally, all the surrounding walls on the north side of the Tsuklakang were renovated. It seemed there were many places needing repair both above and below, and all were completely renovated. As for the other materials, there's no need to mention them. The cost of the mercury alone was nearly two hundred mule-loads. As Bodhisattvas do, the main thing is to make sentient beings happy. It was strictly forbidden to inflate prices or deceive through schemes to become a trading victor. Orders were given to each assistant to provide more than the actual value of the work, according to the actual price. In short, from beginning to end, everything was done in accordance with Dharma. Offering to the Buddha by deceiving sentient beings is like offering the flesh of a murdered child to one's parents, deviating from the path of pleasing the Buddhas. Jowo knew and saw this, and therefore guided them onto the right path. Those with wisdom should also act in this way. At that time, clothing and compensation were provided to over twenty Nepalese artisans, painters, carpenters, stonemasons, tea makers, and about two hundred artisans in total. The uncounted wealth was immeasurable. Due to the power of compassion, there were no fights or disputes during that time. It was mostly completed in the twelfth month of the Tibetan calendar, filled with special sacred objects such as relics of the Buddha, dharanis, and wheels. It was beautifully adorned with five ganjiras. The throne holder of glorious Ganden Monastery (Tibetan: དགའ་ལྡན), along with a sangha of hundreds of monks upholding their vows, performed the consecration ceremony.
