He also subdued King Pehar. The method of subduing him was that when the mandala for subduing him was being constructed, Pehar came to view the mandala, and (Padmasambhava) pierced his eyes with a stake; because he listened to the mantra, he pierced his ears; because he imitated the recitation of the mantra, he pierced his tongue; after that, wanting to escape, he pierced his four limbs, making him unable to walk. He said, "Now I will burn you!" He was very frightened and was again put under the oath. After that, (Padmasambhava) went to subdue Yarla Shampo. He sent down water on Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava raised the vajra from the edge of his cloak, and the water flowed back upstream, and was poured back into Lhateng Watang (place name). There, he threw the vajra, and the water boiled, and about one-third of the Shampo snow mountain melted. After that, he sat on the top of the snow mountain and said, "You are too high for me." Padmasambhava said, "You are also too high for me, if you do not come under the oath from now on, I will burn you." Then, while prostrating at the feet of Padmasambhava, he said, "I belong to the black race, and I cannot do good. From now on, I will not do harm." In this way, he made a vow. In this way, for about six months, almost all non-humans were placed under the oath. After that, for the benefit of the royal family and all Tibetans, (Padmasambhava) said that he would perform a grand fire puja. In a grand celebration, there was a ceremony to wash the hair of the Tsanpo (king). Acharya Bodhisattva said, "On the north side of Mount Sumeru, there is a spring that always appears. If you take water from there and wash the Tsanpo's hair, he will have a long life, his descendants will multiply, and his political power will be very strong." He asked, "Then, who can take the water?" He replied, "The master mantra practitioner can." After reporting to the master, (Padmasambhava) sealed the mouth of the golden vase with a white silk cloth and placed it in the center of the mandala. After reciting the mantra, he threw the vase into the sky, higher and higher until it disappeared. About the time it takes to eat a meal, the vase suddenly appeared in front of the master. There, after washing the Tsanpo's hair, he handed it over to all the ministers. When they opened it, the water inside was turbid and unclear, so the ministers reported to all the assembled ministers, saying, "This is probably the mad water of Mon (Bhutan), pour it out!" So they poured it out and eliminated it. Even so, a great misfortune occurred. After that, he also performed Kriya Yoga and empowerments from the inner tantras for the king and the fortunate subjects. The king and subjects were fortunate.

He also preached many "Rosaries of Instructions on How to See." As well as Vajra Destruction, Phurba Hundred Thousand Sections, and various other sadhana instructions. He said that he would live long and make the whole of Tibet happy, but later, due to the common karma of sentient beings as the cause, and the ministers who were possessed by the evil spirits of the black side as the contributing factor, it did not succeed. Moreover, in the texts of the "Last Testament," only the part about making Tibet a better place is written, and nothing more. This seems to be because the internal history of the tantras is not publicized. Giving empowerment is also referred to in veiled terms as "proceeding in stages." Because in the past, apart from the inner circle of tantric practitioners, the names and meanings of common empowerments were also kept secret, so the term "stages" appears in many ancient books. In the old histories of the "Rosary of Instructions on How to See," and in the Phurba ritual of Obran Palgyi Zhonnu, and in other scattered historical documents, the above content is consistent. When the king was given the sequential empowerment, the queens Tsepongza Metok Dron and Drosa Tri Gyalmo Tsun, also known as Jomo Jangchub Je after she became a nun, and other noble queens, requested not to be the consorts offered to the mandala. The king said, "None of them seem to have the fortune." He prophesied that Chimsa Lhamo Tsen and Kharchenza Tso Gyal were qualified to be the consorts offered. They asked, "How can we do that when the distance is so far?" The king said, "There is no difficulty in this." Then the master entered into samadhi, and in a moment, the two of them arrived at the edge of the mandala. Moreover, the two of them simultaneously gave rise to innate wisdom, and later abandoned worldly affairs and devoted themselves to practice. In the texts of the three "Last Testaments," it is also recorded that the two of them went to practice from a young age, so there are no traces of temples left behind, and the meaning is also there. At that time, when the empowerment was over, the king's chamberlain, Ma Choco, told the ministers about it, but they did not believe it, thinking that it was not so powerful. When the foundation-laying ceremony for the king's temple was being held, the mandala was to be built.
