Furthermore, there are three cases: one, changing a masculine to a feminine; and two, performing a masculine action in the sense of feminine. The first case is like स्त्री (strī, Devanagari, stri, woman) and मातृ (mātṛ, Devanagari, matri, mother), etc. The second case also has two aspects: merely changing, and giving a feminine suffix. The first case, like पत्नी (patnī, Devanagari, patni, wife), etc., changing a short masculine to a long feminine, is merely an assumption. Similarly, प्रत्यञ्च् (pratyañc, Devanagari, pratyañc, westward), प्रतीची (pratīcī, Devanagari, pratīcī, western), उदञ्च् (udañc, Devanagari, udañc, northward), उदीची (udīcī, Devanagari, udīcī, northern), प्राच् (prāc, Devanagari, prāc, eastward), प्राची (prācī, Devanagari, prācī, eastern), अवाच् (avāc, Devanagari, avāc, downward), अवाची (avācī, Devanagari, avācī, lower), etc., these are merely assumptions and verbal changes, not the action of suffixes. The second case, changing by giving a suffix, in this treatise, five suffixes are explained: आप् (āp, Devanagari, āp, feminine suffix), ईप् (īp, Devanagari, īp, feminine suffix), अनीप् (aṇīp, Devanagari, aṇīp, feminine suffix), ऊप् (ūp, Devanagari, ūp, feminine suffix), and ति (ti, Devanagari, ti, feminine suffix). आप् (āp, Devanagari, āp, feminine suffix) can be divided into general cases, divided into definite and indefinite. Specifically, क (ka, Devanagari, ka, feminine suffix) also has a general क (ka, Devanagari, ka, feminine suffix), and a special one, and the special one also has two types. दीप् (dīp, Devanagari, dīp, feminine suffix), डाप् (ḍāp, Devanagari, ḍāp, feminine suffix), दीष् (dīṣ, Devanagari, dīṣ, feminine suffix), ऊङ् (ūṅ, Devanagari, ūṅ, feminine suffix), चाप् (cāp, Devanagari, cāp, feminine suffix), ति (ti, Devanagari, ti, feminine suffix), and ष्यङ् (ṣyaṅ, Devanagari, ṣyaṅ, feminine suffix), these seven, other treatises explain seven feminine suffixes. The third case, performing a masculine action in the sense of feminine, is like the word दारा (dārā, Devanagari, dārā, wife), etc. The feminine gender is special, so there are detailed ways to newly establish it. The masculine and neuter genders are mostly self-established. Therefore, the rough way of becoming feminine through feminine suffixes is just that. The usage of feminine suffixes has been explained. Now, I will explain a little about the meaning of the chapter on the agent case. That is, in explaining the difference between the agent case and the non-agent case, because there are few words, it is named the agent case chapter, but in reality, this chapter explains in detail the usage of all cases. That is, among the seven categories of cases, the first case is the one that merely expresses the meaning, that is, mainly expresses the thing or substance, and the latter six cases are the ones that make the characteristic and related opposite of that thing a non-common expression. The one known as the agent case, which mainly shows the meaning of the agent, action, instrument, and purpose, is the first case, etc., the five cases and the seventh case, these six categories are like that. The sixth category mainly expresses the relationship, so it is not considered an agent case. Among these cases, the explanation of the usage of the first case is: लिंगार्थे प्रथमा (liṅgārthe prathamā, Devanagari, liṅgārthe prathamā, in the sense of gender is the first case). In the sense of gender is the first case. Here, gender, name, and sound
