The Grammarian Saraswati's Sutra Commentary, Supremely Clear. The Grammarian Saraswati's Sutra Commentary, Supremely Clear. ।svara sva sti sya vyā karaṇa sūtrapr̥ttī tinā ma bi harati smaḥ This is the treatise called "The Grammarian Saraswati's Sutra Commentary, Supremely Clear." Om, may there be well-being for all beings! The commentary on Saraswati's grammar, called "Supremely Clear." I prostrate to the Bhagavan, the all-knowing Buddha! I also prostrate to the noble Saraswati! The entire circle of knowable things, Known instantly and always, Without effort, possessing great compassion, I bow to the Buddha, the lord of beings. A maiden playing with a billion graces, A beautiful form of perfect liberation, To limitless beings Granting the essence of nectar of speech, Saraswati, the supreme giver, The treatise on grammar, like an ocean, This garland of jewels that illuminates, On the neck of the maiden of the directions, Who can prevent its adornment? Here, the science of grammar is one of the five great sciences. The ability to fully understand other fields of knowledge also mostly depends on this field of grammar. Just as barbarians living in remote areas express themselves with inferior local languages, this should not be done by virtuous scholars. Most virtuous people speak mostly in Sanskrit (Sanskrit: saṃskṛta), the language of the gods. The "noble" in "noble land" and "noble language" does not only apply to the "noble" derived from the two words "birth" and "noble." The Sanskrit (Sanskrit: ārya) for noble language is: lord, virtuous, and the meaning of being superior to others. Brahmins and kings, lordly lineages, and great renunciates, etc., those of noble birth, perfect conduct, and excellent wisdom and intelligence. Most famous internal and external treatises exist in Sanskrit. The ability to understand this language lies only with those who know grammar, not with others. In Tibet and China, etc., others cannot follow their own local languages, so although it is necessary to teach knowledge and Dharma in Tibetan, etc., the main treatises for listening and teaching all originate from the noble land.

Since it originates from Sanskrit, thoroughly understanding all the treatises such as the Seven Treatises of Valid Cognition is very much like relying on understanding grammar. To thoroughly understand the meaning of the Tripitaka and treatises translated from India, there are many instances where one needs to seek the meaning from Sanskrit. Those arrogant ones who gesticulate and shout, and those foolish ones who flaunt themselves in the marketplace and are self-conceited, if they boast themselves as great masters who understand the Dharma, it is truly laughable. Therefore, there are many sutras on grammar, and here I will explain the grammar sutra of Saraswati. Among them, the Holy Mother Saraswati is actually the Bhagavan Mother Prajnaparamita herself, who manifested in this world as the immortal independent woman to teach. Not long after this world was formed, in the beginning of the age of perfection, the great ocean south of Mount Meru, whose nature is nectar. Limitless winds arose from all directions, causing the ocean to surge with various waves. All the sounds of the three realms, both sentient and insentient, were like the songs of the Gandharvas or the voices of humans or non-humans, with beautiful and pleasant sounds that spread across hundreds of thousands of yojanas and persisted. At that time, the great Brahma named Immortal, who lived in the city of Brahma, heard this sound. For a thousand years, he watched the ocean surge and tasted the joy of the sound. At that time, all the sounds of the three realms gathered together, and a goddess of extreme beauty appeared, unparalleled in the three realms of underground, above ground, and above. The mother of this goddess is the ocean, Brahma's thought is the seed of the father, and the various sounds are the dust of the mother. Because these are all complete and she was born, she is called Ocean-born Mother, Daughter of the Ocean, Daughter of Brahma, and Sound Goddess. The southern ocean is the place where Yama, the King of Dharma, resides, so she is also called the Sister of Yama. After that, when the goddess stayed in the middle of the sky, when beings abided in truth, behaved uprightly, did not steal, and were without harm, the goddess she...
