Masks and the like do not need to conform to measurements; each should be made according to its own shape. Measurements are established to prevent errors in crafting, and were established by holy individuals. If one is well-versed in the intricacies of craftsmanship, it is not necessarily essential to conform to measurements. Like the famous image of "Tara Taking Water." The Great Bodhi image at Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) also has a short neck, thick arms, and a broad upper face. Even the Jowo Shakyamuni image in Lhasa does not show any differences in terms of treatises on measurements or in the parts of the posture. There are also differences in the shape and posture of the ears. Most of the small-sized cast or carved Buddha images made by scholars in the sacred land of India have thick fingers and are not beautiful. They are beautiful to the eye and evoke joy upon seeing them. For Buddha images that are dignified, graceful, and radiant, it is acceptable even if the minute details do not conform to the measurements. They are worthy of offerings from gods and humans and are the source of benefit and happiness in the world. Without the spontaneous accomplishment of artistic transformations and the emergence of wisdom like the sun, one should not denigrate the craftsmanship of the wise with arrogance born from slightly studying measurements. The posture is excellent, the craftsmanship is exquisite, and the variations in posture are inexhaustible. The colors are vibrant, like the splendor of celestial flowers. Any question is the activity of the Victorious One. Like a second Vishvakarman on earth. 92. It is also said: "The shapes of poultry eggs and sesame seeds contain squares and circles. The common body is of all, and the shapes of the faces are four types. Great men and goddesses have the shapes of poultry eggs and sesame seeds." It is also said: "The shapes of the postures of wrathful deities are circles and squares." The meanings of these statements are explained differently in the Kriya Samucchaya and other texts, but there is no absolute certainty about this. If one wants to do it this way, it does not seem very necessary for Tibetans to cut square corners on any part of the face. The so-called egg shape refers to a shape that is slightly constricted at the top and bottom and bulging in the middle. The sesame seed shape refers to a shape with a broad upper face and a slightly constricted lower face. Peaceful males are slightly sesame-shaped, but this is not explicitly stated in the sutras and tantras. One can analyze it slightly with wisdom. The four faces of Chakrasamvara each display different expressions, as described in the Chakrasamvara Root Tantra and other texts.

Inquiring about a single deity statue, because through learning, one can understand the four faces of different styles. Although it is generally not contradictory to create it as some Indian and Nepalese artisans do, it is not necessary to be exactly like this. For deities with different faces such as Kalachakra, the styles specifically mentioned in the tantras must be followed exactly. For those without specific instructions, it can be made as one pleases, but most of the time, the stylistic variations are made to be similar. Regarding the way of drawing eyes, it is said that the width is ten barleycorns and the length is fourteen barleycorns, which is called the shape of a lotus petal. A width of six and a length of twenty, or eighteen, is considered to be like the belly of a fish. A width of one finger and a length of two fingers is considered to be like a blooming Utpala petal. When the Great Sage (Shakyamuni Buddha) is in meditative equipoise, the width is two barleycorns and the length is twenty-four barleycorns, which is called a bow-shaped eye. These are all eyes in their natural state. If observed carefully, it will be even better than this. These are the classifications of the eyes of deities. Among them, eyes like Utpala petals are thin at both the inner and outer corners, and open in the middle. Ancient Tibetan artisans called this "མགྲོན་བུ" (guest). Eyes like lotus petals are evenly thick except for the tips of the inner and outer corners. Eyes like the belly of a fish are long and thick. If the eyes are closed, it is like a rainbow. The eyes of the Sage (Shakyamuni Buddha) in meditative equipoise, called bow-shaped eyes, are like a horn bow. Open eyes are suitable for peaceful male deities. Fish-like eyes are suitable for peaceful female deities. Rainbow-like eyes are suitable for prostitutes and can be used for offering goddesses, etc. Eyes like lotus and Utpala are suitable for both peaceful and wrathful deities. The eyes of extremely wrathful deities and wrathful mothers also have two shapes: round and square. For extremely wrathful deities, opening the mouth wide and yawning is not found in the original traditions of India, Nepal, etc., and appeared later in Tibet. Thus, apart from the wisdom stupa of Kalachakra, there are generally few specific regulations for the dimensions of stupas. As for Buddha images, both sutras and tantras
