It is the same as the Brahmapas. Practicing yoga is similar to the Samkhya school, practicing nakedness is also similar to the monks, and meditating on compassion also becomes a heretical practice. Practicing secret mantras is similar to the Ishvara school. In the "Five Steps" of Vishnu, it is also said: "It is only a name, it has completely transcended, it has abandoned the distinction between existence and non-existence, it is definitely liberated from abandonment and collection, that is called the son of the wealth god. There is no existence in existence, and there is no existence in non-existence. Whoever knows that he is liberated from existence and non-existence is true wisdom." Also in the "Adornment of Ishvara": "The only son Brahma is the most true, the power of wisdom is infinite, only speaking of existence, that is also called bondage." Thus, these and those who speak of emptiness of self-nature, except for a slight difference, have very similar views. Therefore, there is no difference. These heretical scriptures are quoted in the self-commentary of the "Ornament of the Middle Way". I have heard from some Brahmin panditas the thousand names of the god Vishnu, as well as the long and short songs of the essence, as well as the songs of goodness and the songs of establishing existence, as well as the "Sambada" of Ishvara, and various treatises of the Samkhya school. The two kinds of falsehood of the Samkhya school, from the perspective of the sect, the terms are almost all different. Some terms are the same as the tantric scriptures. The treatises of Vishnu are the same as the Prasangikas. The Ishvara school also proclaims like the Svatantrikas, saying that having an agent is their characteristic. If there is any similarity between the two, then the Samkhya school, which is the most excellent of the heretical schools, is the most excellent of the Buddhist schools because it is famous. Some say that existence is bondage, and some say that perfect existence is bondage. What is the difference except for the Chinese and Tibetan? If it is in accordance with the scriptures of the Buddha with sons, then other-emptiness is reasonable, but self-emptiness is not. Because some people have no certainty about the scriptures, it is now necessary to establish it with reason. Establishing one's own system without scripture and reason, although it is very necessary to establish it with reason, the profound reality must be established with the scriptures of the pramana person. If it is said that the scriptures that can be seen by meditating on countless three great asamkhyeyas are false, then why is the thought of an ordinary person a pramana? Furthermore, for very obscure things, the scriptures are pramana.

It is for this reason. One should think like this. This is to avoid arguments similar to other-emptiness heretics. The analysis and discernment that is neither one nor many, these apply to conditioned dharmas, not to unconditioned dharmas. Unconditioned dharmas are neither one nor many, distinctions such as space are not included. However, it is merely conceived by delusion, because there is no essence whatsoever, therefore it does not exist. In order to refute your view that dharmata does not exist, because there is nothing, therefore it has no change. If there are parts of direction and time, then it is impossible for it not to change. Because direction exists, it is not an object of consciousness, but non-existent. Time is the three times such as past, so it includes change. Because the arising and so on are prevented, the dharmadhatu is not obstructed. This wisdom is also unborn and unceasing. In the great and small tenets of the noble Madhyamaka, causes and conditions, coming and going, names and symbols, as well as prior and subsequent limits, cause and effect, dependent origination, etc., all these boundless rational analyses apply only to the conventional, not to others. Because causes and so on are all conventional, they become dharmata and do not depend on the possessor of dharma. Nomenclature depends on the possessor of dharma, without self-nature. Dharmata is self-nature, which can be distinguished and established. Because there is no mutual dependence of cause and effect, it is not dependent origination. This is to show liberation from the reasoning of self-emptiness. All dharmas are empty is the view of other-emptiness. All dharmas are without self-nature is the view of other-emptiness. For those who speak of self-emptiness, clarity and appearance, because they do not want emptiness, they only take the words. If appearances such as vases are emptiness, then according to your view, it would become ultimate truth. If it is not emptiness, then it contradicts that all dharmas are empty. Those who hold other-emptiness believe in three kinds of emptiness and three kinds of selflessness, and do not consider them to be merely ultimate truth, so there is no internal contradiction, and an excellent tenet arises. The empty part of the conventional is not ultimate truth, and the appearance of the ultimate truth is not conventional. This is to show that all dharmas being empty contradicts self-emptiness itself. Because self-emptiness transcends only-mind, it is Madhyamaka, but not the ultimate of Madhyamaka. It is merely emptiness, not the ultimate of emptiness. It is definitive meaning, but not the ultimate of definitive meaning. The reason is that those who speak of self-emptiness, although they are Madhyamaka, do not acknowledge the ultimate, so what kind of Madhyamaka is it? Self-
