Obtains all peace. If there is gold, like its rust, samsara without beginning or end also arises from it. Although the dharmadhatu is not the cause of samsara, without it, samsara would not exist, just as the mandala of wind in the sky is said to be the support. It is established as the basis of samsara. It is the object of sudden nirvana, and is also known by the wise as its basis and cause. The terms "support," "basis," "cause," and "lineage" are the ways in which they appear in the minds of yogis. It is taught there because it is necessary to realize the true nature of the ultimate dharmadhatu. The self-nature lineage has no awakening or non-awakening. Because it exists, it is merely established as awakening for those who are born to increase. The term is applied that when this increases, that also increases. If there is no place to be obtained, all dharmas have no fruit. Even if there is, what is the need to obtain something unreal? Newly born things may be prevented and cut off. If the cause of qualities is small and the fruit is large, why are most of them not newly born of the same kind? Even if faults are transformed into qualities, they are not equal, because the wisdom qualities of the Buddha are infinite. Therefore, it is established as the fruit in the primordial state. Refuting that the Buddha is impermanent, the dharmakaya does not exist, or saying that there is no essence, or no truth. Slandering that the essence has no qualities and this dharma. Those people are short-lived, have many diseases, have leprosy, wealth declines, power declines, political power declines, they are foolish, mute, and are born in bad destinies, as stated in the sutras. Those who speak of this meaning are long-lived, healthy, and happy, and will definitely obtain an unmoving state and a permanent body. This is the third chapter, which is a detailed explanation of the Buddha's essence, the dharmadhatu. As explained by the teacher: Whatever arises that clings to self and dharma, that will become vijnana (consciousness). That which becomes also has three aspects: vipaka (maturation), pride, and the awareness of objects. A clear awareness that is the collection of all habits, and that which appears as self and has the appearance of various objects. Just as many small streams gather together and are called a great river, when waves churn there, it is difficult to distinguish the difference between the waves and the river. Alaya-vijnana (storehouse consciousness) is like a great river, and the habits accumulated from beginningless time are like all the waters that gather. Present habits are newly mixed seeds, and the continuation of what was previously mixed is vipaka (maturation). Of matter.

Without distinction, it is like water. Although its nature is clear, the forms of objects are not apparent. It focuses on all objects of focus. It has the power to show all containers and contents. That which is limitless is equally present in all. The seven consciousnesses are like waves in a river. Those clear and cognitive transformations, although similar to the basis in the way of cognition, do not possess the characteristics of mind. Waves, rivers, and water are similar, but they do not possess the same characteristics. Furthermore, it is said that the alaya-consciousness is the place of all seeds of maturation. It dwells with reception and so on. It is both discerning and non-discerning. It always possesses contact and attention, and is endowed with awareness, conception, and thought. The feeling in it is neutral. It is obscured and undeclared. Contact and so on are also the same. It is like a constantly flowing river. It can be reversed in the state of an arhat. Abiding in it, it arises, and because it focuses on it, it is called mind. The consciousness is self-centered, and is always accompanied by the four defilements that are obscured and undeclared. The view of self, the delusion of self, the pride of self, and the conception of self, wherever they arise, that is other. Contact and so on are also the same, not arhats. It is not present in the cessation of absorption, nor is it present in the path beyond the world. Thirdly, in the six kinds of objects, whatever is focused on, those are the ones, unwholesome, wholesome, and neither. Pervasive and specific determination. Mental events, wholesome events, and likewise defilements and near defilements, the three feelings and those that correspond to them. The five are in the root consciousness. What arises from what kind of cause is either co-emergent or non-co-emergent with consciousness. Like waves on water. The arising of mind consciousness is always or without conception, and the two kinds of samadhi, and without mind, sleep, and fainting. All the seeds of consciousness, by the power of each other, change in that way. Therefore, that kind of conceptualization arises. By the habits of karma and the two graspers, the one with habits is the former, and after the exhaustion of maturation, it is the other. The one who generates maturation is that one. The teachings of the Victorious One: The realm of beginningless time is the abode of all dharmas. Because it exists, all beings and the attainment of nirvana are also possible.
