Some say it is not annihilation but due to dependent arising, this actually intends to establish what is already established. Know that the examination of the four extremes of existence, non-existence, arising, and cessation, etc., are subtle remaining meanings. There is no place of cessation because there is no arising; it is not different because there is no oneness; there is no coming because the going has not been established; there is no cutting off because there is no permanence. These are the supreme fundamental reasons. All the reasons of the Madhyamaka teachings are followers of these alone. Because all phenomena are both selflessnesses, there is no difference in terms of essence, but they are distinguished by reversing the way of refuting what is to be refuted. The Victorious Ones spoke of these two in order to separately uphold the lineages of the Lesser and Greater Vehicles. The object of negation of this does not exist as a real entity. The object of negation of the subject is reversed because it is a false conception. If it were real, who could affirm or deny existence or non-existence? Likewise, in Suchness, the self of phenomena in conventional truth never exists, and that is the selflessness of phenomena. Other than ultimate truth, phenomena in their own essence are not established from the beginning, and that is also a nominal term. In all phenomena, whether nominal, manifest, or hidden, a real self never exists; it is merely called "selflessness of persons." Because these two pervade all phenomena, they are the common characteristics of all phenomena. The venerable one also said: Because there is no self and no self-nature, therefore in self-nature, because it does not abide and is still grasping, because there is no self, it is considered selflessness. Because the latter is the basis of the latter, therefore, by selflessness, there is no birth, no cessation, and it is primordially peaceful, and the nature of nirvana is accomplished. The beginning and thatness, otherness, and self-nature, transform into self and other, from all afflictions and distinctions, tolerance is taught for the unborn dharma. These are synonyms for the utter non-existence of birth, such as the example of a painting and the clearing of muddy water, etc., are synonyms for the non-existence of true birth. Understand the intention of non-birth in the same way. The essence, permanence, selflessness of persons, and the nature of being all-encompassing and pervasive, are the intention of the empty ground of the selflessness of phenomena. This is beyond the realm of words, concepts, affirmation, and negation, and is free from the elaboration of one and many, birth and cessation. Therefore, it cannot be refuted by the previous reasoning, just as the characteristics of a house are refuted.

Like wood. The negation aspect of the two selflessnesses is the ultimate truth. It is merely a name, emptiness is the real ultimate truth. Here, there are no basis, path, fruit, or any Dharma. Only the Buddha's Dharmakaya exists as truth. The key to all reasoning that examines the ultimate truth. Whatever it is, its nature, differences, etc. Discern one and different, or seek contradictions. Therefore, all methods of discernment are included in this. Prasangika and Svatantrika schools do not have that truth. If it exists, it must exist in this way. This secret word can be applied to everything that is needed. If you analyze this, you will find many illogical things. The truth of the agent and the object is impossible, if it is true, then how? Saying that it must be independent and different. It's like a rabbit's head has no horns, if it exists. It's like saying it must be white, not another color. Both self and other do not admit, things cannot exist. Setting such a definition is a foolish act. Abandon all seemingly reasonable investigations and searches. Strive to enter the correct path of reason. This is the treatise on establishing the two selflessnesses, the sixth chapter. The conclusion of what has been said in this way is for the two truths. After gaining correct certainty, practice. If you understand the two truths, view and behavior will be completely pure. You will gain supreme wisdom about right view and provisional meaning. The nature of emptiness is the object of consciousness. The object is the nature of conventional truth. The nature of true establishment is that of the noble ones. The object of wisdom is considered the ultimate truth. Gyaltsab Je also said: Children obscure the truth, False appearances appear everywhere. Bodhisattvas remove this, The truth then appears everywhere. Meaningless and meaningful, Are called non-appearing and appearing. For the ignorance habits accumulated from beginningless time, Clear appearances that are not defiled by temporary illusion causes. What is suitable as an object of acceptance and rejection, The wise call it true conventional truth. The objects of sound and conceptualization, all that is completely imputed, And whatever appears due to temporary illusion causes, And all the general meanings established by wrong tenets. It must be determined as the inverted conventional truth. True conventional truth has two types: worldly and yogic. Unexamined outer and inner appearances are those of worldly people, Other-powered mind-only is only that of yogis. Although rational proofs can be applied to it, Because clear appearance is due to being unexamined, Appearance is mind
