Also, I offer to those victorious ones. This sentence does not appear in the previous commentaries, nor is it found in any of the old Tibetan versions, and no one recites it nowadays, so the explanation is not written here, and it is easy to understand. With the sacred garments produced by gods and humans, and things made with chak chak, offerings, the best of fragrant substances, and containers of fragrant sand, that is, various things made into packages piled up like Mount Meru, and all those offerings that are especially superior with beautiful arrangements, all are used to offer to those victorious ones. Those actually mentioned are only symbolic, as many good offerings and good arrangements as there are in the world, all are offered in the manner of actual arrangement and mental transformation. The second is the unsurpassed offering: Which offerings are unsurpassed and vast? Those are also pleasing to all the victorious ones. With the power of faith in good conduct, I prostrate and make offerings to all the victorious ones. The offerings made are all unsurpassed, below the heavenly realm, not to mention surpassing it, there is nothing equal to it, it is the offering made by the Bodhisattvas who have attained supernatural powers. Moreover, it is vast by filling all the Buddha lands, and those offerings are also for all the victorious ones mentioned above, especially the power generated by the faith of rejoicing in unsurpassed faith, and the faith of deeply believing that good conduct has immeasurable benefits, I prostrate and make offerings to all the victorious ones. In this way, the inconceivable manner of prostration, and these unsurpassed offerings, because they cannot be actually done, are done by faith, and the main meaning is to make aspirations to be able to accomplish that in the future, because of the power of the aspiration of good conduct, and the power of faith in good conduct. The meaning of what is said is also like this. Also, the sutra says: These three pure things are the unsurpassed offering and service to the Tathagata. The activity of offering will produce unsurpassed and immeasurable merit. What are the three? Unsurpassed and correct

Generating the mind of perfect enlightenment, upholding the Dharma of the Thus-gone Ones, and practicing the Dharma as it has been heard. These three are taught as the unsurpassed offerings. Here also, devotion to the Buddha and faith in the Excellent Conduct are taught as special qualities of the unsurpassed offering, the key point is the same. The third is: Through the power of attachment, hatred, and ignorance, Whatever sins I have committed with body, speech, and mind, All of these I confess individually. Therein, the cause of faults is the three poisons, namely, the power arising from being completely seized by attachment, hatred, and ignorance. The basis of faults is what has been done by body, speech, and also by mind; such as killing is done by the body, lying and so forth is done by speech, harmful thoughts and so forth are done by the mind. The agent is "I have committed." The actual confession is: Whatever sins there are like that, all of those I confess individually. In front of whom? As it is taught in "Upon a single atom" and so forth, in front of the boundless Buddhas and their retinues. Therein, the fault of not confessing is: Because there is no regret for what has been done before, and holding onto the permissibility of sin, the continuation of sin itself will increase, and because one does not restrain oneself in the future, bad karma will not be exhausted. From that, one will continuously go to the lower realms, not to mention liberation, it will even be difficult to attain higher realms. The benefit of confessing sins is: By merely regretting and confessing, the past continuation will not increase and will also be purified; if one is cautious and averts in the future, non-virtue will be cut off, thereby averting from the lower realms and transforming into higher realms, and the seed of virtue will increase, and will also become the cause of liberation and omniscience. The fourth is: All the Victors of the ten directions and the Buddha's children, Solitary realizers, those in training and beyond training, Whatever merit all beings have, I rejoice in all of that. In the realms of the ten directions, all the Victorious Buddhas, and the Buddha's children, the Bodhisattvas, and the solitary realizers, and among the Hearers, those in training, namely, Stream-enterers, Once-returners, not
