Then, this latter is the undefiled virtue, and from this, the seed of Buddhahood will surely be sown, because the ultimate fruit will not be exhausted. The meaning of rejoicing is: to rejoice in accordance with the state of Bodhi itself. What rejoicings do not accord with the objects of rejoicing? For example, for Black Heaven and Fierce Isvara, thinking that they enjoy all defilements without defilement, etc., these rejoicings do not accord with things, and are meant to prevent these meanings. After hearing, because the meaning is not understood; and because rejoicing and faith are proclaimed, because of being persuaded by others and competing; and praying like rushing to a fair, etc., for these, such great benefits will not actually arise. This is the meaning of what is said. However, whether the thought is pure or impure, as long as it is connected with this Dharma, it will surely become the cause of encountering great meaning in the future. Second, the detailed explanation is: Whoever plants this aspiration of good conduct, He will abandon all evil destinies. He has abandoned evil friends. He will also quickly see Amitabha. They will obtain great gains and live happily. In this life, they will also be auspicious. Just like Samantabhadra, They will soon become like him. The sins of the five inexpiable crimes, Those committed out of ignorance, If he recites this practice of Samantabhadra, He will quickly and completely purify all without remainder. He will be endowed with wisdom, form, and marks, Family and complexion. Demons and many heretics cannot overcome him. He will be worshipped in all three realms. He will quickly go to the Bodhi tree. Having gone, he will abide there for the benefit of sentient beings, Attain enlightenment, and turn the wheel of Dharma. Subdue all demons and their retinues. Anyone who possesses perfect faith will gradually obtain these thirteen benefits. The first benefit is: Anyone who diligently plants this aspiration will purify all the sins that will cause him to be born in evil destinies, and he will temporarily abandon all those who go to evil destinies due to karma.

The second benefit is that by planting this aspiration, one will be able to stay away from bad friends in this life and all future lives, will not encounter bad friends, and will be separated from the continuation of bad friends encountered before. A bad friend is a sinful companion who increases disturbing emotions, causes one to indulge in evil deeds and sins, hinders the growth of discipline, learning, thinking, and meditation, or causes one to indulge in worldly affairs such as desires, enemies, and friends in this life, or pretends to be the path of liberation, but causes one to indulge in wrong views and wrong actions. These people, whether they are lamas or lords, direct and equal friends, or even servants or disciples, are called unwholesome spiritual friends or sinful friends, and allies of demons, and should be avoided from afar like avoiding a burning flame or a poisonous snake. Even if they are not such sinful friends, if they lead those who have entered the Mahayana into the Hinayana, or lead those who are interested in the profound and vast Dharma into the provisional Dharma, they are also bad friends. The third benefit is that one can quickly see Amitabha. The Bhagavan Tathagata Amitabha, who has the Pure Land of Sukhavati, can be quickly seen even in his lifetime, and can hear the Dharma from the Buddha, and can also be reborn in that Pure Land after death. The fourth benefit is that those who persevere in this aspiration will easily obtain what they need in order to achieve great goals, or they will easily obtain food, clothing, offerings, etc. that are in accordance with the Dharma without effort, and they will not be lacking. The fifth benefit is to live in peace and happiness. The meaning of happiness is goodness. Therefore, one can practice goodness throughout one's life, live without being separated from good deeds, or live in peace and happiness without enemies, demons, diseases, or other disasters. The sixth benefit is that those who plant this aspiration in this life can also make life meaningful, so it is a good arrival, meaning that life becomes meaningful. In other words, because good deeds increase in this place, the cause of obtaining happiness in extremely many rebirths has already been accomplished. Or, those who plant this aspiration can have longevity, wealth, and retinue even in this life.
