Furthermore, the twenty secondary afflictions such as anger, and other subtle distinctions of afflictions, as well as the imprints and unfortunate states of all afflictions, are all to be completely defeated in terms of the power of afflictions. Most afflictions have been abandoned, and even if some have not been completely eradicated from the root, one can, through the means of attaining freedom over them, destroy their power and make them companions on the path. At this time, the purification of antidotes that merely suppress a portion, the two antidotes that completely eradicate—selflessness, and the skillful means of transforming afflictions into limbs of enlightenment, etc., these classifications should be understood in detail as they appear in other treatises. As for "the powers of demons," generally there are four demons, but since the demon of afflictions has already been discussed, here it refers to the demon of the aggregates, the demon of death, and the demon of the sons of the gods. For all compounded phenomena, not clinging to inherently existent and permanent dharmas, not even a particle, by realizing the emptiness of the aggregates, one conquers the demon of the aggregates; by realizing that the essence of the Tathagata is constant and stable, and free from all arising and ceasing, one conquers the demon of death; not clinging to the suffering and non-suffering of conventional appearances, but manifesting in the infinite realm of ultimate reality such as the form of dharmata, one conquers the demon of the sons of the gods who induce afflictions and lead to sinful and unwholesome dharmas. Therefore, the powers of demons become powerless and invisible, while the power of practicing goodness is perfected, thus aspiring to attain the unsurpassed perfect Buddhahood. The second is the inconceivable aspiration that mainly proclaims benefits: May the Buddha-fields be purified like the ocean, may sentient beings be liberated like the ocean, may the dharmas be seen like the ocean, may the wisdoms be realized like the ocean, may the conduct be purified like the ocean, may the aspirations be perfected like the ocean, may I make offerings to the Buddhas like the ocean, may I practice without weariness in the kalpas like the ocean. May all the Buddha-fields, like the ocean, be like the world of Sukhavati and the world of lotuses, without lower realms and diseases.

and suffering, wrong views, abysses, thorns, etc., are all removed. The pure realm adorned with all ornaments such as precious land and trees becomes purely good. May it liberate the ocean of sentient beings from suffering and obscurations. May the ocean of Dharma of scripture and realization be thoroughly seen with the eye of wisdom. May the ocean of wisdom that directly sees the Dharma as it is and as many as it is be thoroughly realized, that is, attained. For actions, such as the ocean of means to benefit oneself and others, may the faults such as defiled thoughts be purified, and may the immeasurable ocean of prayers for the benefit of oneself and others be perfected, that is, may the fruit be accomplished. May all the oceans of Buddhas be thoroughly offered with all the ten types of offerings, etc. Thus, may these seven, such as purifying the realm, be practiced with great joy without weariness until the endless ocean of kalpas, so I pray. Thus, with eight ocean-like practices, the first two are purifying the land and maturing sentient beings, and the remaining five are the means of aspiration and accumulating merit. The last is to show the time for practicing the three, perfection, maturation, and purification. Third, the ultimate aspiration is to be united into one without superior: Whatever the distinctions of the aspiration of the conduct of enlightenment by the Buddhas who have gone to the three times, may I complete all of them without exception from enlightenment to Buddhahood by the conduct of the Good. Whatever the distinctions of the infinite aspiration of the conduct of enlightenment made by the infinite Buddhas who have gone and acted in the three times, starting from the beginningless time, may I pray to complete all of them without exception. And when will it be completed? It is said that after practicing the conduct of the Good, one will become enlightened to unsurpassed Buddhahood. In order for me to complete the aspirations of such Buddhas, I will also unite the aspirations with the two great sons of the Buddhas: The eldest son of all the Buddhas, whose name is All
