Freed from the works of demons, and also among the beings of the world, like a lotus that does not cling to water, may I act like the sun and moon unhindered in the sky. Here, sin is an unwholesome dharma, it is the afflictions of the desire realm, and all the actions taken from them. Its concordant aspect is all the afflictions. Therefore, may all those sins that have become obstacles to liberation, together with their seeds, be completely purified. The three faults are the three: karma, affliction, and demon. Karma is the karma that causes birth in the three realms, affliction is the affliction of the nine pervasive bonds, and demon is the obstructing evil spirit that interrupts the life of dharma, generating attachment to desire, distraction, strife, and diseases, and is the agent of killing. Likewise, it also causes one to turn back from the good path and engage in bad asceticism and wrong views, etc. Furthermore, there are lords of others' emanations and so on. Once one has obtained the body of a bodhisattva's samadhi, one will not be invaded by the works of demons, but others will. Being led by the faults of karma and affliction is also the same. However, the time of abandoning these two is when one obtains the path of seeing, that is, the middling forbearance of dharmata. The qualities of being unsoiled or unattached are: wherever one dwells and acts, among the beings of the world, wherever one acts, just as a lotus dwells in water but does not cling to water, even if one constantly dwells in samsara, one is not soiled by the faults of samsara—karma, affliction, and birth, old age, sickness, and death, etc. As the sun and moon move unhindered in the sky, causing crops to ripen and medicines to grow, etc., even though one performs many deeds for the benefit of others, one does not expect a return, and one has no pride or discrimination. Likewise, that bodhisattva also constantly accomplishes great benefit for sentient beings through the four kinds of giving, etc., but does not expect a return and has no pride. May I also act in that way. Eleventh, establishing sentient beings in happiness: May all lands and directions,

May it pacify completely all the sufferings of beings, represented by the evil destinies, and establish all beings in worldly happiness, as well as the bodies and perfections of gods and humans. Not only that, but may it always benefit all those beings with the Dharma of liberation and nirvana. The twelfth and thirteenth articles are the infinite manifestations and the inexhaustible conduct of benefiting beings: The conduct of Bodhi is completely accomplished, acting in accordance with the conduct of sentient beings, the excellent conduct is fully revealed, and it will be practiced constantly in the future kalpas. Through the gate of one's own Bodhi conduct, the six perfections are completely fulfilled, and by knowing the realms, inclinations, faculties, and habits of other sentient beings, one acts in accordance with their conduct, by whatever means they can be tamed. That is, if they are tamed by a householder, they appear as a householder, and if they are tamed by a renunciate, they appear as a renunciate. Likewise, with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as Pratyekabuddhas, Hearers, Brahma, gods, hermits, Chakravartins, kings, and so on, with various forms, various conducts, and various doors of teaching, one obtains the ability to ripen sentient beings. For the sake of others, the one who has the nature of not being weary of samsara, acts in this way for the benefit of beings, that is, the Dharma of excellent conduct corresponding to his own realization, is fully revealed to sentient beings and established in that conduct. Thus, one's own conduct is complete, one obtains the ability, and one teaches the Dharma, that is, the three things of benefiting oneself and others, not only practicing for a while, but also constantly practicing in endless future kalpas, may it be so. Secondly, in the aspiration that is in terms of the uncommon secret of the Bodhisattva, it is connected with the pure aspiration together with the perfect companion, always relying on and pleasing the excellent spiritual friend.
