Having thus grasped the essence of the means, it is permissible to explain by combining the four yogi grounds, or the four uncommon samādhis of the Mahāyāna, or the five yogi grounds, etc., as appropriate. During the main practice, one should ultimately settle in non-conceptualization after investigation, or initially investigate and then settle only in non-conceptualization, or from the very beginning enter into non-conceptualization, and methods of practice that are in accordance with the mantra vehicle, etc. It is best if everything is done in accordance with the individual's intelligence. This very profound Sutra Pitaka is explained by combining it with one's own intelligence. If it is too much, it will be difficult to understand, so it is explained briefly in the manner of a difficult commentary. By this virtue, may all sentient beings attain the state of a permanent Buddha. Until then, may benefit and happiness spread in all directions through many excellent explanations. Thus, this commentary on the Heart Sutra of the Bhagavatī Prajñāpāramitā, called "Unprecedented Excellent Explanation," was composed by Gyalrongpa Tāranātha. This sutra has a commentary by Vimalamitra, which is definitely a Chinese commentary, translated in the early period. There is also a commentary by Lotsāwa Rngok Chenpo, and a commentary on the meaning of the two, by Ar Jangchub Yeshe, a small commentary by Bhagavan Rig Ral, which is concise and meaningful, a commentary by Rongton Shakya Gyaltsen, and a commentary by the crown jewel of scholars, Shakya Chokden. Included in the Tengyur, there is a good commentary said to have been written by Jowo Je, and one said to have been written by Jñānamitra, and one said to have been written by Praśāstāsyā, and one said to have been written by Mahājana. The latter also explains in terms of other-emptiness, and most of them are in agreement with the direction of the great commentary of Vimalamitra. In any case, I have seen those commentaries that have become the object of study for scholars. There are also some new conceptualizations such as the Ṭīkā of Tsetang Bumrampa, and a saying of the Nepalese Asu that is included in the Tengyur, and one written by Chegom Jongpa, and various explanations in the style of Mahāmudrā, Dzogchen, and Zhi byed that appeared in the meantime, whose authors are unknown, and accomplishments.
