Therefore, this is the desire needed immediately when a Bodhisattva practices, not just for the ultimate purpose. In the sutra, in the explanation of the term Bodhisattva, "mind" explains "Bodhisattva" and "Great Bodhisattva," "purification" explains "Great Renunciation," and "awakening" explains "Great Realization." In the extensive sutra, the Blessed One spoke of "Great Mind," Shariputra spoke of "Great Renunciation," and Subhuti spoke of "Great Realization." The "Compendium of Precious Qualities" states: "Why is he called a great hero? He becomes the best among the multitude of beings, cutting off the great views of the realms of beings, therefore he is called a great hero. Great generosity, great wisdom, great power, and entering the supreme Great Vehicle of the Victors, donning great armor and subduing the forces of Mara, therefore he is said to be a great hero." Thus it is said. Among the assemblies of qualities of worldly beings, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas, appropriately, at each moment, causing those who have not attained to attain, and increasing those who have attained, possessing the motivation of this practice, therefore being the lord and victor of all other beings is the Great Mind. By oneself teaching the Dharma to others, what need is there to mention the views of self and extreme views of those beings? Even the views of clinging to the object of focus on the path and the result are all abandoned, which is the Great Renunciation. Even those who possess immeasurable unique qualities that others do not have, such as great generosity, are not attached by the power of realizing the nature of the Dharmadhatu, which is the Great Realization. Just as if one focuses on Mount Meru, one will not have the thought of greatness towards a Nyagrodha tree, so it is. These are the practices of Bodhisattvas, whatever they practice, they must focus on the present moment, therefore it is called "to be done," which means it needs to be done immediately. The actual practice is to take the six perfections under the control of Prajnaparamita and put them into practice, some

Although its essence is the six perfections, from the perspective of practice, it is diligence. If one were to generally say that the essence of practice is diligence, then that much is acceptable in terms of meaning, but it is not a good way of expressing it. In this Heart Sutra of the Perfection of Wisdom, the distinctions of the four practices are not mentioned, so they will not be discussed here. In short, there is nothing that does not include the two practices of perfecting one's own qualities and maturing and liberating others. For details, one should understand from the Bodhisattva Bhumi. Now, with regard to the knowledge of the path itself, although there is a distinction between the path of seeing and the path of meditation, there is no difference in terms of the objects of focus, because the meaning of how the path of seeing sees is exactly what the path of meditation habituates. What is this path of meditation like? As it is said: Its very essence is supreme, it does not manifestly include everything, it establishes all phenomena as without object, it is of great significance. As it is said in the sutra: The Perfection of Wisdom appears for the sake of being utterly pure. And so on, and because there is no practice, the Perfection of Wisdom should be practiced. As it is said, the appearance of grasping and clinging, like darkness, vanishes, and the Dharmadhatu, in which the appearance of wisdom increases, is complete in every way and remains in equipoise. This is the very essence of the meditative equipoise of the path of meditation. It is the supreme of all virtuous dharmas, and it does not manifestly include or obtain practice in all conventionalities such as form. By establishing those dharmas in the sphere of non-objectification, it has the characteristic of dissolving into the sphere of ultimate reality. This is called the meditative practice of the path of meditation, and in the post-meditation state, it is necessary to learn faith, dedication, and rejoicing, which are symbolic. One should also learn all skillful means. What is called the pure path of meditation is not explicitly mentioned in this twenty-fifth chapter, but it is only mentioned in passing, and it is the name of the purity attained by the path of meditation. And how is that said? The fruit is pure, form and so on, why is it pure itself? Because those two are not different entities, and because there is no analysis, it is called pure.
