Although the actual cause of that wisdom is not real, it can still be explained as a cause that produces, since it is similar in cause and form. Alternatively, as it is said: From the Buddha comes Dharma, from Dharma comes the noble Sangha, from the Sangha one ultimately obtains the essence, the realm of wisdom. As the direct instruction states, the three wisdoms in the mind-streams of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, etc., generate Dharma of a similar nature, and this can also generate preparatory bases, etc., in the mind-streams of those to be trained. Among these, the three wisdoms are as follows: As stated in the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, "Subhuti, omniscience belongs to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The knowledge of the path belongs to the Bodhisattvas. The knowledge of all aspects belongs to the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas." It is said. Moreover, in the treatise Abhisamayalankara by the great Regent, it is also said: "The all-knowingness of the Sage." And, "The knowledge of the path of the wise Bodhisattvas is explained as such." And, "The path of seeing of the Shravakas, etc., is considered as such, all-knowingness." And so on. Thus, it can be roughly said that the wisdom of the Buddha is omniscient, the wisdom of the Bodhisattva's noble mind-stream is the knowledge of the path, and the wisdom of the Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha's noble mind-stream is the base knowledge. Some people say that whatever is omniscient is the knowledge of the path, and whatever is the knowledge of the path is the base knowledge. It is impossible not to realize the unborn nature of the path of Prajnaparamita, which knows all knowable objects. It is impossible not to realize the selflessness of the person after realizing all three paths. Therefore, no matter whose mind-stream the basis of the person is in, as long as one realizes the unborn nature of the three paths, it is the knowledge of the path. As long as one realizes the selflessness of the person, it is also the base knowledge. However, it is not all-pervasive in the opposite direction. The knowledge of the path in the mind-stream of the Bodhisattva is not omniscient, and the base knowledge of the Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha is not the other two wisdoms. Some say this. Others say that the three wisdoms not only have different entities, but also do not exist in the same mind-stream, because they are definitely explained as being based on their respective supports. Therefore, the Buddha sees the unborn nature of the path and the base.

It is also thought that it is only omniscience, not anything else. It is thought that others are due to the increase of merit, so the Hearers and Solitary Realizers only have the base wisdom, the Bodhisattva also has the path wisdom on top of that, and the Buddha has all three wisdoms. Although there are cases where three or two enter into one continuum, the three entities are different, so they say. Many of those are, the Buddha's omniscience, the Bodhisattva's path wisdom, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers' base wisdom are all self-characterized, the Bodhisattva sees the selflessness of the person and the Buddha sees the path and the base as unborn, are that and that nominally existent. Thus, with many reasons, some think that all three wisdoms are also Prajnaparamita, all three of the Buddha are self-characterized, the Bodhisattva's path and base wisdom are self-characterized, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers' base wisdom, only prevents one aspect of elaboration, others are not of the nature of non-elaboration, so it is nominally existent. Thus, with many reasons, they write. Others think that Prajnaparamita is only in the Buddha's continuum, some think that omniscience also has two types, namely cause and effect. The cause of omniscience is only in the Bodhisattva's continuum, the omniscience of the first ground is also only this, the ten such as the generation of the mind are also omniscience, the effect of omniscience is the Dharmakaya, so they say, some think that the ten dharmas such as the generation of the mind are not the omniscience of the eight things, they are the expressing dharma or the object of focus. Thus, they think, others think that the offering praises of the Sutra and the Ornament, and the summary and detailed explanation of the main text of the treatise, etc., the boundaries of the establishment of the three wisdoms are different, thus saying foolish words, etc. In the last five hundred years of the Dharma, in both China and Tibet, the practice and accomplishment of this is very small, only speaking is very prosperous, it is because of scattering into many aspects, looking from one aspect, it seems that there is not much contradiction to everything, looking from another aspect, it seems that examining each one will also lead to many faults, so be careful.

Although it needs to be studied in detail, I will not expand on it here for the time being. Among them, the first thing, which is the All-Knowing, the Sutra says: "Venerable One, for what reason is the All-Knowing the (wisdom) of the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha? Subhuti, the Tathagata has understood which kinds, which signs, and which characteristics of the Dharma, therefore it is called the All-Knowing of the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha?" Here, kinds are essence, signs are results, and characteristics are causes. Therefore, for all knowable things without remainder or omission, their respective essences, their respective results, and all their respective causes and conditions, that is, the cause and effect of the arising and the cause of arising, and the cause and effect of the establisher and the cause of establishing, all these are known simultaneously through one wisdom, and this is the All-Knowing. So, in what way of knowing? With the Suchness-Knowing, the three of cause, effect, and essence of all dharmas are known without differentiation; with the Extent-Knowing, all the changes of the essence, cause, and effect of all knowable things are also known. Moreover, all kinds are seen as naturally luminous. Explaining kinds as unborn, or explaining them as without self-nature, has the same meaning as naturally luminous. If explained with different names, some people may not think it is a good expression. Therefore, merely clinging to repeating the sayings of "unborn" and "without self-nature" is not beautiful. The Buddha's All-Knowing does not directly see the three impurely conceptualized characteristics, because as a subject, all worldly appearances have not been established from the beginning. If seeing unestablished things in reality, that would lead to wisdom becoming mistaken. Not seeing what exists, but seeing what does not exist, is purely error and delusion. Therefore, both Suchness and Extent exist as the essence of supreme bliss, with constant, firm, peaceful, and eternal wisdom as the reality of all knowable things.
