Ba. The fault of speaking ill of others will immediately fall upon oneself. And some people, with their own profound scriptures, interpret the meaning in a distorted way with only fallacious explanations that do not match the meaning of the words at all. Regarding other sutras of that kind, this treatise clearly states that they themselves are definitive. Therefore, for some sutras, those parts that cannot be obscured by distortion and are very clear are explained as "only provisional meaning." People like Chitol, while improperly harming the Buddha's teachings, claim to trust the Buddha's teachings, and say, "These people have distorted the meaning of the Buddha's words." This is actually shifting one's own faults onto others, which is the behavior of hypocrites, with the aim of deceiving their own students. Similarly, the very famous Lekden also said, "The noble Asanga did not receive a prophecy from the Buddha." This is either because he had not seen the Mañjuśrīmūlatantra and made rash assertions, or because he had seen it but used some means of concealing it. There is no other possibility. He also concealed many of Vasubandhu's good sayings and then spoke pretentiously as if he knew them himself. Sometimes he vehemently opposes Vasubandhu, which is also the behavior of a hypocrite. However, if one acknowledges that all appearances and sounds are fundamentally empty and free from elaboration, and does not make any affirmative or negative judgments about ultimate wisdom, but remains neutral, then there is no fault because there is no slander. Because one enters by believing in the common emptiness, it is also very wonderful to enter only into the Dharma that is appropriate to one's own capacity, just like those who spoke of no self-nature in the past. All phenomena of appearances and sounds are not established from the beginning. Therefore, the unchanging, all-pervading wisdom that is free from all elaboration is the complete, pure, and excellent meaning of the selflessness of phenomena. Enough of too much elaboration. Therefore, the ultimate realm that is empty of characteristics is emptiness. And characteristics are only things or dependent on things. Things can also be summarized as the five aggregates. Among them, the five faculties and forms, sounds, smells, tastes, etc., are produced from the five great elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, that is, transformed from the five great elements. Similarly, among the tactile sensations, lightness, heaviness, softness, roughness, etc., also come from the elements.
