He became a great translator, translating many sutras such as the Prajnaparamita Sutras, The Action Tantra 'Manifest Enlightenment' (Abhisamayalankara), the Yoga Tantra 'Condensed Essence' (Tattvasamgraha), and many other teachings, greatly promoting the Dharma, including the Sangha. He had four sons, one of whom, known as Sadna Leg Jingyon, built the monastery of Gyalsay Karchung. The panditas Vimalamitra, Kamalasila, Jnanasena, the Nepalese Humkara, and the translators Khon Lui Wangpo Sungwa, Rma Rinchen Chok, and others translated many teachings, revised them with new terminology, and established them firmly. They established many teaching monasteries and meditation centers. He had three sons, the eldest of whom was named Raptu Chung. The middle one, Langdarma, was of evil nature, so the youngest, Tri Ralpachen, was appointed to the throne. He built the Ushangdo Lhakhang. The khenpo pandita Prajnavarma, Jinamitra, and many others, as well as the translators Kawa Paltsek, Lhokro Lui Gyaltsen, and Zhang Sanam Yeshe Dorje, translated and established many teachings. The king offered the first gate of alms to the Sangha, and greatly expanded the Dharma, which is why it is called the Early Propagation. After that, Langdarma assassinated King Tri Ralpachen, seized the throne, and destroyed the Dharma in U-Tsang, leaving almost nothing remaining. At this time, Lhalung Pelgyi Dorje, thinking of the Buddha's teachings, assassinated King Langdarma, but because the Dharma had declined so much, it could not be restored for a time. In the meantime, the monks who fled from U-Tsang to Do-khams were Yo Gejung, Tsang Rabsal, and Mar Shakyamuni, three in all. They were supplemented by two Chinese monks, and the great teacher Gongpa Rabsal was ordained and received full ordination. They included Loton Dorje Wangchuk, Tsozun Sherab Senge, and Dri Tsund Gyalwa Jungne, the three Tsangpa; and Lume Phagpa Sherab and Sumpa Yeshe De, the two Upa; five people from U-Tsang were ordained. They went from Do-khams to U-Tsang, and as khenpos and acharyas for many ordained people, they established many Sanghas, rekindled the flame of the Dharma, and made it flourish. This is the Later Propagation, which arose from Lower Do-khams. If we divide it into three periods—Early Propagation, Later Propagation, and Intermediate Propagation—then this is the Intermediate Propagation; if we divide it into only two periods, Early and Later

Thus began the initial teachings of the Later Dissemination. The way the Later Dissemination flourished from the upper region is as follows: Langdarma had two sons, of whom Wosung's son was Pelkhor Tsen. He had two sons, namely Kyide Nyima Gon, who established rule in Upper Ngari, governing the three regions of Ngari. He had three sons, namely Mitri Gon, whose son was Wo Kyi Jin. He had two sons, one of whom, named Khore, became a monk and was called Lha Lama Yeshe Wo. He upheld the traditions of his ancestors, and in order to propagate the Buddha's teachings, he sent twenty-one intelligent individuals from his subjects, along with gold, to India to study the Dharma. However, most of them died. Lochhen Rinchen Zangpo and Lochung Lekpai Sherab were the two who successfully returned. In particular, Lochhen became a great scholar, and the two of them translated many teachings, including the sutras and treatises of the exoteric teachings, as well as the commentaries and instructions on the inner and outer tantras of the esoteric teachings. Bodhi Yeshe Wo, in order to fulfill his uncle's wishes, sent Nagtso Lotsawa to India with much gold to invite Jowo, and he was invited back. He was honored and venerated with great ceremony in Upper Ngari. He taught many scriptures and practices, including the essence of the Three Baskets and the Four Classes of Tantras, such as the "Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment." In addition, he propagated many practices of the Perfection of Wisdom and the esoteric teachings. He suppressed all false and heretical teachings. His heart-son, Dromtonpa Gyalwai Jungne and his sons, spread the precious Kadampa teachings far and wide. Khyunpo Naljor, Ngor Lotsawa, Tri Lotsawa, Gyi Jo, Lan Darma Mati, Drogmi Shakya Jñana, Marasa, Dharma Mati, Dro Lotsawa, Bariwa, Rga Lotsawa, Tawa Lotsawa, Nyan Lotsawa, Ngok Lodan Sherab, and many others translated many sutras and tantras, and brought them to Tibet. Their disciples explained the profound meanings of the excellent Indian treatises, and established their own traditions of composing treatises, thus forming their own schools of thought in Tibet. These are: the Sakya school, and the Ngor and Dzong schools derived from it, the Jonang school, the Dagpo Kagyu school, and the Karma school, Drigung and Drukpa schools derived from it, the Trophu school, the Drukpa school, the Ngok school, and the Shalu and Bodong schools derived from these schools.
