He traveled to almost all the inner and outer places. In retrospect, there was hardly any region in the south that he didn't visit. Namely, Maharashtra, Khanadesa, Tambala, Vidyanagara, Karnataka, Trilinga, Trimal, Chanchi, Malyara, Charitra, Marbara, Konkana, Chaivala, Nizams, Nizambhahara, Chandradura, Panchabhatara, Chara Mandal, Mora Mandal, Jala Mandal, Tala Mandal, Tunda Mandal, Bhoga Malyara, Kalinga, and other various small countries, all of which are the heart of the south. Then, from Konkana, he sailed west across the ocean and arrived at the island of Troding, which is transliterated into Chinese as "Dami Dodvipa." The local barbarians, border residents, and islanders call it "Samloranaso." On that island, the teachings of Tantra were very prosperous. From a Pandit Sumati, who possessed clairvoyance, he received the empowerments of Chakrasamvara and Hevajra, and listened to detailed explanations of the Hevajra Tantra. This Hevajra is in the tradition of Guru Padmasambhava. In general, on that island, the transmissions of all four classes of tantras were unbroken, and in particular, the Unsurpassed Yoga Tantra was very prosperous. Except for the Kalachakra, most of what was in India was also there. The tantras of Vajrakilaya and the Ten Wrathful Deities, as well as many Heruka tantras, and Vajrapani, Garuda, Matrika, and Mahakala, etc., and many unsurpassed Hayagriva practices that were not in India were also there. There were also many teachings transmitted from Guru Padmasambhava. Although there were many monks, the practice of discipline was not pure, because the monks mostly wore black clothes and drank alcohol, etc. After about a year on that island, the lama passed away, and the rest of the tantra had not been completely learned, and the oral instructions had not been heard. So, he listened to the remaining teachings from the daughter of that master, a yogini who had attained power, Mati Swami. Then, again, he boarded a ship with merchants and went to Shankadvipa, that is, Conch Island. There is a place called "Dejung," which is a mountain that grows various medicinal herbs.

There he stayed one night. On that island, he saw many people with human faces and noses like elephants, who had come from an island called Gadzanasa. Then, going south, he arrived at an island called Palata. From there, sailing east, he arrived at the island of Simhala, where he stayed for about five years. That island was: with many sanghas, the Dharma flourishing, very wealthy, and very happy. It is called "Jali Mukti Dali Manikara Nevane Kunjara Ghari Ghare Padmini Nari, Bhala Desha Simhala," meaning: the waters are filled with pearls, clear gems, the forests are filled with elephants, and all the houses are filled with lotus-like women. In reality, there are some similarities. That island is also very large, and it is said that he walked all over it. At a place called Shri Vadu, where the footprints of the Blessed One are, he prayed for about seven days, and many rays of light emanated from the footprints and merged into his body. At the top of a mountain in a place called Kandala, in the middle of a dense forest, there is a cave. There, a direct disciple of the great master Shantipa from when he went to the island of Simhala, named Masha Kara Shanti, known in Tibetan as Jungne Zhiwa (Source of Peace), lived, an old man who was over seven hundred years old. Although he hardly met anyone except for one disciple, this master, because he was standing at the entrance of the cave, was able to enter and meet him, and was very happy, and also heard some Dharma. I think that he was an accomplished one, and not just an ordinary person who has seen the Dharma. He spoke about the Dharma to King Rahe Singkha Bhandari, and obtained great joy. Sailing from that island, he stayed for a short time on a small island called Ulinga. Then, together with some merchants from that place, he arrived at a small island called Amuka. It is said that from then on, it was as if no one from Jambudvipa had gone there except for the master himself. It takes about thirty days to sail on the sea from the island of Simhala to here, and it takes about a month to reach those two islands. After that, together with the people of those islands, they built a great ship with excellent qualities.
