Abandoning the thought of "taking what is desired," he freely discarded everything and went to the central region with his retinue. That lama resided in Banaras (Benares, Vārāṇasī) once. He mainly resided in the forest of Bikrama Longspyo, near the city of Delhi (Ḍīlī). He practiced the extraction of essence, and upon its successful completion, his previous hair and so on fell off, and he transformed into the appearance of a sixteen-year-old. This holy one also received from that lama the empowerment of the Gorakṣa tradition called Sindhyānatāparamā, and he also heard many methods of practicing worldly and transcendental deities. He also resided for a time in Delhi (Ḍīlī), Ṭīlā, Gaurṣaṭārī, and Haridwar, also known as the "Gate of Plunder," which are near the northern mountains. In this way, for about nine years, he meditated on wind yoga and alternated between correct placement. For the most part, he was with a teacher named Prahma-nātha, who is said to have gone to the land of the nāgas through the power of mantra. He also heard many teachings from the great yogi named Kṛṣṇa-nātha, who was swallowed by a venomous snake but emerged unharmed. The teachings of Gorakṣa, the Mahāvada and Svasaṃvada, these two great vidyās and self-arisen wisdom, reveal the ultimate meaning. The Prāṇaśṛṃkhalā, or "Life Chain," reveals the structure of the body and the world. The Prāṇatantra, or "Continuum of Life," mainly reveals the path of yoga. He mastered these treatises and became proficient in their explanations and the pith instructions for practice, from more than fifty scattered pith instructions to numerous assemblies. He inquired about methods for removing obstacles and enhancing experiences of high and low, pleasure and pain. He also knew and accomplished many mantras and activities for benefit and harm. Then, as it was a time when his body was also reaching its prime, he thought that now he must engage in single-pointed practice, and that if he did not resolve all doubts while the lama was alive, he would not be able to complete it. So, he offered the Gandha-mṛga offering, whose essence is the feast gathering wheel, and each profound empowerment and teaching requires such an offering. In addition, he pleased the lama by offering wealth and all the offerings he could find, and by practicing in accordance with all his teachings, again and again.

It was established in the form of questions and answers, thereby resolving the doubts about the instructions of those three lamas. It is said that the followers of Goraksha, called "Jogis," have twelve divisions: Natha Panthi, Pavo Panthi, Paksha Panthi, Gopala Panthi, Pagala Panthi, Ayi Panthi, Choli Panthi, Hodu Panthi, Dhvaja Panthi, Bheragi Panthi, Mangala Natha Panthi, and Satta Natha Panthi. Among the former, there is a sect called Nadeeshwari Jogi. They are still not Buddhists. The three lamas Tirthi Natha, Brahma Natha, and Krishna Natha all belong to the Nadeeshwari sect. After that, this lord practiced Nimba essence for six months and Klapa for six months in the land of Malawa for one year. Later, in the island of Singhali, Jhamigiri, and Jagatnatha, he also practiced the combination of Klapa for four months each. Even though he is old now, he remains in the appearance of about thirty years old. At that time, in the land of Marus, a man of the king, Rathaura, offered patronage and built a small hut, and he meditated single-pointedly. The form of Vajrayogini appeared again and again in his dreams. Sometimes he thought he was developing clairvoyance, and sometimes he knew the hidden actions of various beings, both human and non-human, and so on, and many kinds of qualities arose. Sometimes various kinds of pains arose in his body, and his mind was also uneasy and changed from high to low. Various kinds of high and low experiences arose, and all of these were transformed into the path by the instructions of the lama. Sometimes in his dreams, Vajrayogini would appear in the form of a wine-selling woman and repeatedly remove obstacles. After that, for four or five years, he stayed in a different place each day and meditated single-pointedly, but the meditation also had its ups and downs. Once, when he was staying for a short time in the city of Nagara Thatha in the western Sindhu region, he became seriously ill with a severe illness, and it became more and more serious, and all the signs of death appeared, so he thought he should meditate on the instructions for death. He blocked his breath and meditated single-pointedly, and once he was unconscious for about a whole day and night, and his breath stopped. In that state, he found the experience of clarity, awareness, and bliss, and that too lasted for a long time.
