Sapanā. How was it? From the water, a fish with teeth bit Śiwā Sambha (ཞི་བ་སྦས་པ།). Fearing that it would harm the teacher, he stabbed it with a short spear. That fish bit Śiwā Sambha's foot. When he was almost dragged away by the fish in the water, he remembered the guru, and the fish let go, and the fish swam away. Although the wound was painful, he did not slacken in his service to the teacher. One morning after seven days, somehow, the pain disappeared. Also, in the place of Rakang in the east, the teacher lived in a cave. Śiwā Sambha had to go to various cities to find goods and so on, and had to do many things. That place had many rivers, so he had to swim across them frequently. The creature belonging to the Sīsāradī crocodile family, which is called "Par" crocodile in Tibet, also bit him three times, but the teacher himself also gained power, and remembering the guru, the crocodile released him. In addition, there were Kāṃkāra animals, as well as fish and water snakes that bit and stabbed him, and he said that the wounds were countless. For all of this, he did not receive the guru's mantra and medicine, and all the beneficial methods such as mantras and medicines were obtained from others. The teacher stayed there for three years, with five supreme yogi attendants and twelve vidyādharīs, and enjoyed the tsok khorlo many times. Śiwā Sambha had to travel more than others. The aquatic animals in that place were very fierce, and although his body was very tired for three years, there was not the slightest bit of weariness in his heart. It is said that all of those attendants at that time later attained accomplishment. After that, the teacher and disciple went to Bangala by boat. From the first meeting until then, he had not given a single word of instruction, so there he requested to be given instruction. He said, "Do not be greedy for fame and fortune, please follow me." As soon as he received that, he said to the teacher, "Is there anyone better or equal to me?" He also said, "The great glorious Vajrasattva is also afraid." After saying that, he showed an angry and displeased appearance and ran away. There, even running as fast as he could, he could not catch up. For seven days, he searched in every direction of that place, but could not find him. After that, in a very distant place

After that, he asked people in various cities, but no one knew. He searched for two months without finding him. In a city called Horatanda, he cried for seven days, praying as he cried. He didn't appear there either. Now he felt that he had no connection in this life and wanted to die here. He jumped from the top of a rocky hill, but he didn't injure his limbs or suffer any harm. He stayed there for a while, feeling dejected. Then, a familiar vidyadhari came in that direction and said, 'What is a good student doing?' Because the guru's vidyadhari was a lama, he touched her feet with his head. He said, 'I have no connection, because the lama abandoned me, so I want to die.' She said, 'Your guru will definitely take you in.' He was a little happier there and asked where the guru was. She said, 'The lama came to my house and stayed for a few days, and now he has gone to Nepal.' That woman disappeared. After that, Zhiwa Zang went on the road. When people saw him jumping from the top of the rock, many people asked, 'Why did you jump?' He didn't answer. He said, 'I am suffering because I can't find the lama, and I hope these things will get better slowly.' It is said that he was very angry. After that, he went to Nepal and asked in various cities and places, but no one knew in other places. The caretaker of the great black Mahakala temple in Yambu said, 'He came here, stayed for a few days like a madman, and then went to Kamaru.' He immediately went to Kamaru. On the forest roads, he encountered robbers, tigers, buffaloes, rhinoceroses, and other fears, but he only thought of the lama, so he was not harmed. In the city of Garuda Ghata in Kamaru, he met the guru. He was very happy, prostrated his body on the ground, and made hundreds and thousands of prostrations. There, the lama said, 'If you want the instructions, the place where my guru Asita Ghana passed away into the sky is the top of the rock of Herampa, so build a brick stupa there that is five people tall.' After that, he went to that place, exchanged a piece of clothing for the price of bricks, and all the work of beating mud, firing bricks, etc., was done by Zhiwa Zang alone.
