It is also known that he will come again. He inquired from the Acharya Avadhutipa. He inquired from Ratna Akarashantipada. He inquired from the Great Vajrasana. It is said that there is also a lineage of inquiry from Kusalipa. However, as the main source of the transmission, Manpa Shab inquired from the Ugyen Acharya Sangye Pal Zhiba. He inquired from the Great Vajrasana. He is also called Vajrasana Sasauripa. He is also called Ratna Akaragupta. He inquired from the Middle Vajrasana. Furthermore, the Great Acharya Sangye Yeshe Shab told the Great Acharya Padmasambhava. This one is known as the later or smaller Padma Vajra. Detailed biographies can be learned from elsewhere. The one known as the Great and Small Padmapa is named according to the earlier and later times. That Acharya imparted it to Ratnashila, the Avadhuti yogi of the land of Kamaru. He inquired from Kayastha Vriddha, that is, the old scribe. That old Kayastha Acharya was the scribe of King Dharmapala. At the age of eighty, he renounced in Nalanda. He studied the Tripitaka. Nearby, King Mahipala saw him walking on the road, pointed to a dry branch of a tree and showed it to the Acharya, saying: When you know all the Tripitaka, this tree will also bloom. The Acharya thought:

Translated by..., the colophon also states that it was made by the elder Kāśyapa. The translation by Shong Lodrö Ten states that it was made by Dharma-gata, which I think are different names for the same teacher. I think this commentary is the oral transmission of the teacher, recorded by the disciple. It is said that this teacher and the teacher Bhava-skandha are the same person. This teacher taught at a place called Dur Hari. He taught to the early Vajrasana people. The middle Vajrasana people asked him questions. The great teacher of Vajrasana was born in the Mālava region. His caste was Brahmin, and he was very proficient in all fields of knowledge. Later, he became a monk at Nālandā. He was proficient in all inner and outer tantras, and especially the instructions were very special. Because of the practice of bodhicitta, the Magadha region became very auspicious, and the benefit of beings was great. Around the time when Atiśa was alive, he was appointed as the abbot of Vajrasana. Later, he also served as the abbot of Vikramaśīla. His disciple, Parva Ratna Ākara Gupta of Vajrasana, was born in the eastern Gaura region. His caste was Brahmin. From a young age, he was proficient in all sutras and tantras, and he had also accomplished the mantra recitation, so he acted as a Vajra Master, although his status was a layperson. However, many monks surrounded him and taught the Dharma, and he came to the central region. A devout minister of the king said: "Please become a monk! Otherwise, the monks of the three pitakas prostrating to a layperson is harmful to the Dharma." I said that I needed to support an old mother, so I did not become a monk. So the minister gave him sixty gold coins for his mother's living expenses. After that, he became a monk at Vikramaśīla. There, he competed with panditas and yogis in the greatness of the instructions. He also mastered all the initiation lineages and instructions of the teacher of Vajrasana. Later, he served as the abbot of Vajrasana for a long time. After that, he wanted to go to the southern region, so about thirty teachers and disciples went to Sauri. The king of Sauri dreamed that the great Bodhi image of Vajrasana said: "Do not let my Dharma go to the south." After waking up, he requested to provide labor for the teacher and his entourage to carry scriptures and Buddha images to the south.
