In all those places, the teachings were extremely flourishing. It is said that at times when most of the Sangha gathered, even now there are twenty to thirty thousand monks, and the lay followers are also very numerous. Later scholars, such as Vanaratna who went to Tibet, all came from that region. Later, there was a king named Pala Sundara, and in all those places, the Vinaya, Abhidhamma, and Mahayana treatises were very flourishing. However, except for a few such as the Kalachakra and the Three Cycles of Garlands, the tantric teachings became very rare. About two hundred scholars from that region were sent to Troding and the southern land of Khagandra, to the presence of great accomplished ones such as Shantirakshita, where they were made to practice the tantric teachings, and thus they were restored. His son, Chandravahana, is now in Lhakhang. Atitavahana protects Tsagma, Palavahana protects Munyung, and Sundarahatse protects Nigata. Compared to the former tradition, the teachings are now extremely flourishing. The thirty-ninth tale is about the time when the teachings flourished in the eastern land of Kaka. Furthermore, in the island of Simhala, Nas Island, Zang Island, Gold Island, Dhanashri Island, and the small island called Payigu, the teachings had flourished from ancient times, and even now the teachings are extremely flourishing. In the island of Simhala, there are also some Mahayana practitioners. Mostly they are Shravakas, and even now, at the festival of the footprints of the teacher called Shri Paduka, about twelve thousand monks gather, mostly Shravakas. In Dhanashri and Vayigu, there are also some Mahayana practitioners. The other small islands are only for the disciples of the Shravaka path. In the island of Troding, there were no authentic teachings before, but Guru Padmasambhava first established them. Dipamkara also came. From then on, for about a hundred years, many Vajradharas from Magadha, Uddiyana, Kashmir, and other places came and made the Mantrayana particularly flourish. In the time of King Dharmapala, the lineage of the tantras that had been hidden and disappeared in India, and the lineage that was invited from Oddiyana,

There are many lineages that do not exist in India. Even now, the authentic teachings of the four tantra classes of secret mantra are flourishing as in the past. There are also some Vinaya, Abhidharma, and Prajnaparamita treatises. In the southern part of India, after Magadha was destroyed by the Turks, many temples that were not very large in scale were established in places such as Vijayanagara, Konkana, Malyara, and Kalinga. Although the number of monks was not very large, good teaching and practice continued without interruption. The Pandit known as the "Sun of Mankind" was also born in Kalinga, which is part of Trilinga. Similarly, in the southwestern kingdoms, since King Karna established the Dharma, later when Magadha was destroyed by the Turks, Jnana Akaragupta and others propagated it. Many temples were established in places such as Maru, Mewar, Chittor, Bhuwa, Abu, Saurashtra, and Gujarat, and there are still many monks. In particular, later, due to the power of the blessings of the great accomplished master Shantigarbha, the Dharma was newly propagated in Khagandre and the Abhijit Mountains. During the time of King Ramachandra, the monks received many offerings. His son Balabhadra built many temples, as well as many places such as Shri Ratnagiri, Jita, Ojana, and Urvasi. Many temples were established in every way. It is said that there were about two thousand newly ordained monks there, and the authentic teachings of teaching and practice of both Sutra and Tantra were especially flourishing and developing. This is the fortieth (chapter) regarding the emergence of the Dharma in the islands and the re-flourishing in the south and other regions. I have not seen a compilation of the biographies of the kings of Kashmir, the South, and Koki. In the work called "Garland of Flowers" written by the Brahmin Manomati, the deeds of the kings and others who propagated the Dharma in the southern region and made great contributions to beings are briefly recorded as follows: In the Kanchi region of the South, there was a king named Shukla Raja, and another king named Chandra Shobha. During the reign of these two kings, the Kardings of the ocean islands, etc.
