and offered offerings. He prayed for the Lord to come to Jambudvipa, and the Lord agreed and gave the devotee many panas (藏文:པ་ཎ་,梵文天城体:pana,梵文罗马拟音:pana,汉语字面意思:pana) as travel expenses. The Lord said, "Relying on this much living expenses, you will reach your homeland, and you will arrive before the panas are used up." And he showed the way. He also saw the statues on the hillside and one-third of the way up the mountain as real bodies. When he came back, he was supposed to reach his own place in fifteen days. On the fourteenth day, he saw the mountain of Pundravardhana and was very happy. He bought more food with the remaining panas and ate it. Before reaching the king's city, when he approached his hermitage, the panas ran out. He sat there, thinking whether the noble one would come, but he did not come. In the middle of the night, he fell asleep and was awakened by the sound of music. In the sky, the gods were making offerings. When he asked who they were making offerings to, they said, "O ignorant son of Jambudvipa, the noble one and his retinue have come to the tree you are relying on." When he looked, he saw five deities actually appearing on the tree, so he prostrated and prayed. He asked them to go to the king's country, but the Lord said, "If the panas had not run out, that would be fine, but now I will stay here." After that, he reported to the king, but the king was not pleased and is said not to have given the devotee any reward. After that, he built a temple in that forest. It is known as the Khasarpani Temple. It is said that Khasarpani is called "sky-goer" because he came from the sky, or "pana-exhausted" because he came when the panas were exhausted, but translating it as "sky-goer" is very good. If translated in another way, Kharsa is a term for the price of food, and pana is a gold and silver coin, now called tangka, so it means food price coin. That is how it is generally known in India. According to the history of Nyikhrili Bama, the king's insistence was fruitless, and he went to Potala three times, the first time to see him himself, and the second time because the Sangha of Varanasi sent him because of doubts about the inconsistency between the Ornament for Clear Realization and the Sutras, but he did not report it, but personally invited the Holy Khasarpani. When he asked Khasarpani, Khasarpani said, "I am an incarnation, so I do not know." The third time, he went to Potala to resolve the doubts.

It is said that the eighth (Tara) was also invited. That devotee actually saw the five deities of Holy Avalokiteśvara, and at that time he personally accepted the offerings. Later, that devotee was killed by robbers because he coveted wealth. He realized that this was the karma he was bound to experience, so he offered his head to Holy Avalokiteśvara. The robbers did the same. The tears shed by Holy Avalokiteśvara dripped into the skull, and all of them turned into relics. It is said that since then, Holy Avalokiteśvara has no longer personally accepted offerings. This is the story of the time of Dharmakirti and others, the twenty-third chapter. After that, there appeared the son of King Śrī Harṣa, named King Ngangtsul. He was formerly a monk who was proficient in the three pitakas. When there was a great festival in the king's palace, he went to beg for alms, but he did not receive any and was driven away by the gatekeeper. When he died of starvation after fasting, he made a vow to become a king who would offer to the Three Jewels and satisfy the ordained with food. By the power of this vow, he became a king with great wealth and offered delicious food to all the sangha in the four directions. His palace city was called Ta. He lived for one hundred and forty years and ruled the country for nearly one hundred years. This one ascended the throne near the end of Yönten Ö's life. In the east, there appeared a king named Singha, who came from the Licchavi clan and had great power. At that time, Acharya Chandragomin was born. Singha's son, King Bharṣa, also ruled the country for a long time. The king of the Chandra clan, Singha Chandra, ascended the throne, but because he was weak, he had to rely on the help of King Singha and Gharṣa. This was the time of Lekden's old age and Acharya Vimuktisena's old age. Acharya Nima Spawa, Vimuktisena's disciple Chokde, Buddhapala's disciple Kamala Buddhi's old age, Yönten Ö's disciple Holy Moon Jewel, and the Khenpo of Nalanda, Gyalwai Lha, all appeared at the same time. In the south, Acharya Chandrakirti also appeared. The time of Acharya Dharmapala, Acharya Śāntideva, and the siddha Virupa's old age.
