saw the danger. When he started to give his body, he seemed a little unable, so he developed even more faith in the Buddha. He wrote seventy aspiration prayers in his own blood, and first fed the tigers blood, and after slightly restoring his body's weakness and strength, he said that he would give his body. Some say that the teacher Yang Gonpa, who has such merits and benefits others, is a later descendant of the teacher Makhol. He also made many other treatises such as the Compendium of Wisdom, and he benefited all the monks of the Great and Small Vehicles very equally. Although he only emphasized the Great Vehicle, he did not exclude the Hearers, so the Hearers also believed even more, and he became very famous as a common figure in Buddhism. Teacher Rāhula Bhadra was of the low caste, but he was perfect in appearance, enjoyment, and power, and he became a monk at Nālandā. When he became a monk holding the three baskets, he relied on the feet of Teacher Āryadeva and realized the reality. While living in Nālandā, just by holding a large vessel up to the sky, it would be filled with delicious food. In this way, he provided food for many monks. Finally, in the land of Bhingkota, he saw the face of Buddha Amitābha, and facing the direction of Sukhāvatī, he passed away. This story has already been told in the history of Tārā. The time of Teacher Makhol and others was the eighteenth period. After that, in the east, there appeared King Śrī Candra's son Dharmā Candra. He also made great offerings to the Buddha's teachings. His minister, a Brahmin named Bāsu Netra, was very devoted to the Buddha's teachings and saw the face of the noble Avalokiteśvara. He obtained various kinds of medicines from the nāgas and stopped all the plagues in the realm under the sun. He equally distributed all the debts of the country three times. At that time, in the land of Kashmir, there appeared a king named Turuṣka, who lived to be a hundred years old and was a great king of Dharma. During the reign of Dharmā Candra, in the region of Molatana, and the king of Lahore, also called Bandero, also called Kuni Mamapta, was a king of the Tazi.

Numerous times, ེ་ and King Dharmacandra engaged in both conflict and reconciliation. Once, after a reconciliation, some monks, acting as messengers for each side, became attached to gain and honor and committed certain actions. Thereupon, the king of Tāgzig sent horses and various precious jewels as gifts to the king of the central region. The other party sent elephants and excellent silk fabrics to Tāgzig. On one occasion, King Dharmacandra of the land under the sun sent a seamless, exquisite garment to the king of Tāgzig. Coincidentally, the woven pattern had a footprint-like design near the heart, which caused suspicion that a malicious spell had been cast, leading to doubt. Another time, intending to send fruits as gifts, a Brahmin wrote many mantra wheels on barley grains and left them in the sun. The wind carried them away, and they fell into split-open bananas. These fruits, along with others, were placed in boxes filled with clarified butter and sent to the king of Tāgzig. At some point, mantra wheels were discovered inside the fruits, leading to the certainty that a malicious spell had been cast. The Turushka army then destroyed all the regions of Magadha. Many temples were also destroyed, and Nālandā suffered great damage. The ordained monks fled far away. After that, Dharmacandra passed away, and although his nephew was on the throne, he was powerless as he had become a servant of the Turushkas. The son of Dharmacandra's uncle, the king of Vārāṇasī, had a person named Saṃghabuddha, who sent some teachers who expounded the sutras to China. In return, the Chinese king gave King Saṃghabuddha fine goods worth a hundred loads of gold and carried by ten thousand people. Then, with these riches, he pleased the kings of the west and center, as well as the main vassal states. In the conflict with the king of Tāgzig, many Tāgzig warriors, including Khunimāmmapta, were killed. King Saṃghabuddha ruled over most of the lands under the sun and in the west. He restored all the dilapidated temples of the past, invited the Sangha, and established eighty-four Dharma centers at glorious Nālandā.
