When that goddess took the teacher Namkha and tried to lead him to the heavenly realm, the teacher said, "I am not striving to go to the heavenly realm. I have practiced you for the purpose of providing sustenance to the Mahayana Sangha for as long as the teachings last." Therefore, she manifested as a noblewoman in the west near Nalanda and resided there. The teacher erected a large sengdeng (Acacia catechu) stake, which could be carried by a person, on the large face of the extremely tall Manjushri temple made of stone, and instructed, "Until this turns to ashes, you shall provide sustenance to the Sangha." As a result, for twelve years, she made offerings to the Sangha with all kinds of necessities. Eventually, a wicked female novice named Geshe Marung repeatedly made sexual advances towards her, but she remained silent. Once, she said, "When that sengdeng stake turns to ashes, we shall meet." That evil novice burned the sengdeng stake with fire until it turned to ashes, and the goddess disappeared immediately. Then, the teacher, in place of that, established one hundred and eight Mahayana Dharma centers in one hundred and eight temples. There, he erected an image of Mahakala and entrusted it with the protection of the teachings. Furthermore, when the Bodhi tree at Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) was harmed by elephants, two stone pillars were erected behind the Bodhi tree, but it did not last for many years. When harm occurred again, an image of Mahakala riding a lion and holding a vajra was erected on top of the stone pillars, which was effective for many years. When harm occurred again, the perimeter was surrounded by a stone lattice fence, and one hundred and eight stupas with deities were erected outside. An iron fence was built around the stupa of glorious Drepung Monastery, and one hundred temples were built inside the iron fence. When a great water disaster occurred on the east side of Vajrasana, large images of the Buddha were carved on seven boulders, facing outwards, in the manner of a water dam, thus preventing the water disaster. They are known as the "Seven Buddhas of the Water Dam." Since "water dam" is the name for a water barrier, the claim that it was done in imitation of the Buddha's image appearing in the water is a delusion. The claim that this occurred at the time of subduing King Utrayana contradicts the Vinaya.

being actually contradictory. In both of those, it also clearly shows its own suchness. At the same time as these, in the land of Uṭibhiṣi, King Muñja, along with a thousand attendants, attained the body accomplishment of a vidyādhara. In a place called Ḍoḍhāhari in the western Malava, King Bhojideva, along with a thousand attendants, became invisible, and so on. There was not a single one who entered the path of mantra who did not attain siddhis. At that time, the Blessed One invited many dhāraṇīs and the hundred thousand Prajñāpāramitā, so the śrāvakas said that it was composed by Nāgārjuna. Since then, no new Mahāyāna sūtras have appeared. In order to refute the arguments of the śrāvaka realists, he composed the five collections of reasoning, etc. In Tibetan histories, it is said that a monk named Dedjé composed a treatise called 'Ornament of Reasoning' with twelve hundred thousand ślokas in order to refute the Mahāyāna, but this is a mistake in the oral tradition. Three Indian historical documents agree that it was twelve thousand ślokas. In the eastern land of Pāṭabesatepukkaṃ, as well as in Oḍibiśa, Bhaṅgala, and the land of Rāḍha, many temples were also built. At that time, in Magadha, a Brahmin named Subiṣṇu built one hundred and eight temples in the place of glorious Nālandā. In order to prevent the Dharma of the Great and Small Vehicles from disappearing, he established the Dharma seats of one hundred and eight mother goddesses. In the later part of his life, the Blessed Nāgārjuna went to the south and subdued King Dedjé, and propagated the teachings for many years. In the land of Drāvali in the south, there were two Brahmins named Madhu and Supramadhu, who possessed inconceivable wealth. When the teacher debated with them about the Brahminical religion, the Brahmins could not even reach one hundredth of the teacher's knowledge of the four Vedas and the eighteen branches of knowledge, etc. The two Brahmins said: 'Why is the son of a Brahmin, who is proficient in the three Vedas and has mastered all the treatises, practicing as a Śākya monk?' When he spoke of praises that were not of the Vedas and praises of the Dharma, they became even more faithful and made offerings to the Mahāyāna, and then the teacher
