On the painted ground, in the near direction, the Buddha is teaching the Dharma to many attendants. On the far side, there is a king's palace, located in the middle of a city. In the palace, the queen is seated on a throne, and on another throne, the king is filled with worry. Outside, in the city, in each house, some people appear to be sick, and corpses are being carried on stretchers to the cemetery. The edges of the city are surrounded by the flags of an army, the water sources are drying up, and poison is being poured into the lakes. In the clouds, poisonous snakes and other creatures reside, causing hail to fall. Lightning strikes, and snakes fill the grass and trees. On one side of that palace, the king sends a messenger, and in that land, in a temple, the messenger reports the situation to the Buddha. On another side, in a spacious courtyard, the king and many people offer umbrellas to the Buddha. The Buddha walks away from between these two areas. In that distant place, next to a city, the Buddha arrives with his retinue, and the king and others go to greet him. Many people make offerings, and the gods above also make offerings and shower down flowers. Furthermore, rain falls from all directions, new water flows, and the ponds are filled. The armies at the edges disperse in all directions. Then, the Buddha and his retinue arrive at a temple and reside within it, and so on. Also, under the eaves of a palace, the king, queen, prince, and six ministers discuss matters. Next to them, a person wearing a jeweled headdress and white clothes is standing. From the gate of that palace, a person wearing white clothes rides on the neck of an elephant, using a hook to turn it. On the back of the elephant, the king and people holding umbrellas and fly-whisks are riding. On many elephants to the left and right, some women are holding torches, and others are riding with various implements, creating such a scene. In the distance, there is a temple, and in the courtyard outside the temple...

On the other side, the king was offering umbrellas to the Blessed One and his retinue in the outer courtyard of the palace. Listening to the Dharma, and seeing the Buddha going to the road, the king jumped from the top of the mansion. An emanation Buddha caught him from the sky and placed him on the ground. Again, the king was on the elephant's back, and when he saw the Buddha from afar, he jumped from the elephant's back. The emanation Buddha caught him from the sky and placed him on the ground. After that, Devadatta did what he should not have done, and there were many frustrating stories, but they could not all be written. Devadatta was under a tree, and next to him, the stone ball of the Light Increaser Completer was broken. Outside a monastery where the Buddha was staying, Devadatta was eating ghee, and the porridge bowl was placed next to him. After entering the monastery, next to the body of the Teacher, there was also a container filled with ghee. On one side outside, Devadatta was driving away the evil spirits in the field, and some monks were grabbing him, and some were watching. In a mansion, the Teacher was staying, stretching out his hand, and going past other trees, etc., placing his hand on the head of that sick person. After the sick person recovered, he stood up and laughed. Again, he prostrated at the feet of the Teacher and asked for forgiveness. The Teacher's feet were blessed into crystal. Devadatta's fingernail broke, and the poison inserted in the fingernail fell on the ground. In front of the Blessed One, there was a monk, and the Teacher was speaking to him. He was also supporting Devadatta. From a distance from where the Buddha was staying, when Devadatta was walking, sparks were coming out from the cracks in the ground under his feet. Then, in the burning flames, Devadatta was only left with a head the size of a lump. Hands folded and placed on the head.
