In a manner of threatening and cursing, and on one side of it, someone with a vase filled with sand hung around their neck, depicting the scene of drowning to death in a pond. Near the place where rain and wind occur, some people in heretical attire are gathered and deliberating, walking on the road, asking a woman a question, watching a perfected being die, and in the nearby water, some people are depicted with vases hung around their necks, drowning to death. These are all drawn on the edges, and in a spacious central area, the Buddha is seated on a high throne, surrounded by the fourfold retinue of monks and others, as well as many men and women, gods, nagas, and the eight classes of beings, and many heretics are also gathered, depicting the scene of teaching the Dharma. These are the sections showing the great miracles. (Sa) This one miracle day is according to the common vehicle's view as explained in the Vinaya and so on. The fifteen miracle days are the view of the Mahayana. These two views should not be mixed. Therefore, the Sutra of the Wise and the Foolish is also Mahayana, not a sutra of the Hearers. Similarly, the Sutra of Mindfulness is also solely Mahayana. Therefore, please ask those who are known as great spiritual friends not to speak carelessly. Furthermore, in a central temple, the Buddha is depicted as being in meditative equipoise, and in other individual residences, monks are depicted receiving many different offerings and items, and crowds of people gathering inside and outside. Also, in another similar place, an Arhat is sitting on a throne, and many attendants are depicted listening to the Dharma. This is because by showing miracles, the monks' possessions increased, and therefore, in order to cut off the stream of gain and respect that reduces Dharma practice, they decided to go to the heavenly realm. Maudgalyayana spent the rainy season with relatives. Near the former, an Arhat is depicted sitting on a high platform, and many ordained and lay people are making requests. Near it, following the structure of Mount Meru, a wide mountain top is made. One side of it symbolizes the city of the gods, and on one side, in the center of the garden, there is a very large tree, with a very large white flat rock at its base.

In the center, depict the Buddha with the Sangha, and a goddess adorned with ornaments in front of the Teacher Buddha, with many gods and goddesses listening to the Dharma around. Near that, create a similar arrangement, with an Arhat making a request in front of the Bhagavan. Then, in the sky above, depict other celestial realms. If the space is ample and easy to draw, it is necessary to depict the appearance of the Buddha in the other four classes of desire realm gods and the seventeen abodes of the form realm gods. However, it seems difficult to accommodate so much above and below. Therefore, in the sky, to symbolize the upper desire realm gods, depict a land with mountains, forests, flowers, ponds, and various-colored immeasurable palaces, with many male and female deities, and draw this area in the clouds. Above that area, also draw five-colored auspicious clouds, and the scene of jewels and flowers raining down, with the Buddha teaching the Dharma in the center of many male and female deities. Again, in the sky above those scenes, draw an area that looks like it is surrounded by a foundation, with a palace in the center, all of which is pure white, without trees, clouds, birds, or oceans, etc. All the deities are yellow, wearing white clothes. There are only male deities. The Buddha teaching the Dharma in this way symbolizes the ordinary abodes of the form realm. Again, in the sky above it, in a vast white palace without land, mountains, etc., the attendant deities of the Buddha are yellow. Except for the absence of robes, etc., they can resemble renunciants, surrounded by deities wearing hair knots and ornaments listening to the Dharma, which symbolizes the Pure Abodes. Draw Mount Meru or another mountain, and make it look like a ladder going down from the top. Or, if it is inconvenient to draw that way, a ladder can be erected from another celestial realm in the sky. In a lush forest, it is necessary to set up a ladder in the center of a gathering of renunciants and very many householders. The central ladder is blue, the right one is yellow, and the left one is white. Approximately in the middle of the central ladder is the Buddha, and on the right ladder, in front of the Teacher Buddha, Brahma holds a white yak-tail fan, and on the left ladder, behind the Teacher Buddha, Indra with a thousand eyes holds a parasol.
