Even the six teachers of the heretics do not know, how could the new Gautama know? Then he thought, perhaps there is something not to be despised, so he went before the Buddha and asked the four questions in his mind. The Buddha answered in verses, and he was very convinced, so he renounced and attained Arhatship. After that, that night, he stayed in a village called "The Bright Stick," and there he taught the Dharma of the Four Noble Truths. The next morning, he went to the city of Red Child (Dmar bu can), and stayed near the stupa in the vicinity of Red Child City. There, he taught the Dharma to the people, starting with mindfulness. The next morning, a Brahmin named "Summer Maker," who was an advisor to King Ajatashatru, was building the walls of Red Child City and residing there. He invited the Blessed One and his retinue to receive alms, and the Blessed One sat on the prepared seat. He saw that the powerful gods in that direction were rolling on the ground, and thought, the powerful people will be inclined to this, and so will the middle and the weak. This is the best of noble places, where three calamities will occur: fire, water, and civil war. After that, he satisfied the Buddha fully with food, and as requested by the king, he dedicated the merit to him. Summer Maker thought, whichever gate the Blessed One leaves from, that gate will be called the Gautama Gate, and whichever bank of the Ganges he leaves from, that bank will be called the Gautama Ferry. The Buddha knew his thoughts, and knew that this was not good, so he rose from the center of Red Child City into the sky and went to the bank of the Ganges. There, the people sent by King Ajatashatru held five hundred hundred-spoked umbrellas over the Buddha's head and offered them. The people of Vaishali also held five hundred umbrellas from the north. The people thought, if they offer like this, why are we not happy to offer? So the Nagas also held five hundred jewel umbrellas. The Four Great Kings also held five hundred excellent umbrellas. Indra also held five hundred excellent umbrellas, and they each blessed it so that everyone could see their own umbrella on top of the Buddha's head. When asked the reason for this, King Leks Mtha

Having narrated the history of the kings, it was said that in the past, two thousand five hundred Chakravartin kings were born, and the remainder of their activities is the reason why two thousand five hundred umbrellas are now held simultaneously on the head. If this were not the reason for attaining enlightenment now, there would still be two thousand five hundred Chakravartin kings, and the maturation of that merit would be dedicated to the enjoyment of those Shravakas, so that even in a country where one bre of pearls cannot buy one bre of rice, my Shravakas would not be busy with begging. Then, King Ajatashatru built a boat bridge on the Ganges, and the Vaishalians also built one in the same way. The Nagas residing in the Ganges also built a stone bridge. The Blessed One and Ananda came from the stone bridge, and the monks came from the two boat bridges, and went to a high place on the other side of the river and looked there. Monks, do you want to see the stupa of the gods? Yes, we do. Touching the ground with his right hand, a stupa built by the gods in the past, a thousand yojanas in height and sixty yojanas in width, was erected on the ground by the Nagas, the owners of that stupa. Then, he told the monks two signs that the stupa would soon disappear, and there all the other monks were watching and contemplating, but the Venerable Bhikshu did not look, but turned his back and sewed the sanghati in his hand towel. When asked the reason for this, he told the story of King Mahashabda in the past, and how the Buddha Maitreya would appear later. The stupa also disappeared. Again, he went further and taught the teachings of the five uncontaminated skandhas in the grove of shala trees, and then arrived at the city of Ghosha. There he heard that there was a great famine that year, and many lay devotees, including Drdha, had passed away. Ananda asked the Teacher where they would be reborn, and the Teacher said that three hundred lay devotees, including Drdha, had abandoned the five (afflictions) corresponding to the final part, and because they had attained the state of non-returner, they would be reborn in the form realm, and some, because they were stream-enterers, would be reborn as gods in the desire realm. It is not proper for you to ask in this way. Then, Amrapali heard that the Teacher was coming, and sent four parrots
