Participating in the archery contest, seven iron towers, seven iron drums, and one iron pig statue were set up as targets, and arrows were shot at them individually. As a result, Lalita pierced one tower, and Nanda pierced two. No one else could pierce more than that. The Bodhisattva shot an iron arrow, which pierced all the targets, and then flew far away, piercing the ground. From the hole pierced by the arrow, the Nagas brought forth a spring full of delicious water, which was therefore called the Arrow Spring, and a stupa was built there. After that, the soothsayers prophesied that if the young Siddhartha did not renounce the world before the age of twelve, he would become a Chakravartin king. The eleventh is marrying Yashodhara as his wife. After that, King Suddhodana consulted with his ministers and brought all the suitable beautiful women of the country before the young Siddhartha, so that he could choose the one he liked as his queen. The method was that this young man liked to give alms, so by bestowing various jewels upon the women, they could know who he liked. After deliberation, they chose a day when the stars and dates were very auspicious, and a lion throne was set up in a wide place, and the Bodhisattva sat down. Various jewels were piled up like mountains, and the leaders of each caste stood by to serve. All the women of noble birth came adorned with ornaments according to their respective wealth, and the Bodhisattva bestowed upon them various jewels one by one. At that time, Yashodhara, the daughter of the Shakya Vajrapani, came, and her father said, 'The young man is giving jewels, go.' She said, 'Do we not have jewels?' The father said, 'It is not that we do not, but the young man is choosing a wife.' She said, 'Whether he chooses or does not choose, he is my destiny.' The father said, 'In that case, you must go.' After that, Yashodhara was as radiant as a goddess among all the women, and came last. The Bodhisattva had already bestowed all the jewels, and only a ring with a seal remained.
