The gods also scattered precious flowers, various kinds of flowers, fragrant powders, various divine garments, and various ornaments. They proclaimed the sound "Ah la la." After that, the remaining ones fled to remote areas, and appointed someone with the same surname and name as the previous perfect one as a teacher, and as before, they appeared under the name of the six teachers, and because they felt ashamed in the central regions, most of them lived in remote areas. Twenty-second, taming five hundred non-Buddhist hermits: Again, in a forest near Shravasti, about five hundred non-Buddhist hermits were practicing through fire offerings. Knowing that it was time to tame them, in all the fire pits of the fire offerings, he manifested the footprints of the teacher, and blessed them so that they could not light the flames. The non-Buddhist hermits said: "By the power of this footprint, we cannot light the flames, this power is too great, it must be the footprint of a great god." They offered offerings to that footprint, and by the power of the Buddha, the flames naturally burned up, reaching the Brahma world. The non-Buddhist hermits were amazed, and while they were still there, the teacher made them see such footprints extending from the side of the fire pit all the way to Jeta Grove. The non-Buddhist hermits also followed that footprint and went to Jeta Grove. There, they saw the Blessed One, generated great faith, and heard the true Dharma, and all of them attained the fruit of non-return. After that, they took full ordination with "Come hither," and soon after also realized the fruit of Arhat. Twenty-third, reconciling the two Five Acquisitions: Again, the two kings of the Southern Five Acquisitions and the Northern Five Acquisitions were always in a state of discord. King Light King was a friend to both of them. After that, he thought: How should these two be reconciled? The Blessed One is the one who tames the untamed, so I should pray to him. So, he turned to the eyes of the teacher.
