When Gautama's disciple, the Vinaya student, washed the wiping cloth by the river that was not wet by the water, the gods living there would take the washing water and pour it on their heads. If his miracles also defeat me, then I will not be able to compare with our teachers either. After saying this, they thought: This person is also one of Gautama's group, and they left. After that, in a forest, there were five hundred hermits with five supernatural powers. They said to those hermits: Please be our friends. Those hermits also agreed to be their friends, and said: Let us know when the time is right. After that, the heretics left very happily. At that time, the uncle of King Light, a person named Black Youth, approached the palace, and a concubine's attendant threw an old garland of flowers from the roof and hit him. Those ministers who were good at sowing discord said: Black Youth is having an affair with a goddess. Kings mostly act without investigation, so he ordered to cut off Black Youth's hands and feet. In one place, he was surrounded by weeping relatives. The six teachers came to that place in order, and the relatives said: Please heal him. But they left without saying a word. In this way, for seven days, the king built a huge transformation house between Shravasti and Jeta Grove, similar to the heavenly palace, and also arranged a throne made of gold and decorated with various jewels. The heretical laymen and all the followers of the six heretical teachers also decorated six transformation houses according to their respective wealth, and also arranged six thrones. After that, on the eighth day, the heretics, surrounded by their respective retinues, came very early and said to the king: We are already here, please invite the Shramana Gautama. So a messenger was sent, and the king and his retinue went to the assembly hall and sent a Brahmin boy named Lama to invite him. The Teacher said to him: You go, I will come. When the Brahmin Lama returned, the Blessed One, like the king of geese, rose into the sky and descended to the assembly hall of the transformation house. Everyone saw it and exclaimed in amazement, and the king said to the six heretical teachers: The Blessed One has already shown the transformation, you also show it. At that moment, Dumbu's Kunga Raba, that is, the black youth, brought a mango tree with lush branches and abundant fruits from the fragrant Drunken Mountain, decorated with the songs of various birds, and placed it on the north side of the transformation house.

There, countless people who were eager to see the great miracle also gathered. Gods, dragons, asuras, garudas, gandharvas, yakshas, kinnaras, asuras, and countless spirits also gathered. Knowing this, the Teacher washed his feet, entered the meditation hall, and entered the fire element samadhi. Flames of light emanated from the cracks in the door, and like a spreading fire, the entire interior and exterior of the miracle chamber blazed with flames of various colors, shapes, and radiant delights. The heretics thought that the miracle chamber was being burned by the fire and were overjoyed, saying, "If Gautama has power, let him extinguish this fire!" The miracle of the flames immediately subsided, and all the unclean impurities were purified by the flames. The meditation hall appeared even brighter, more beautiful, and without any impurities than before. Then, the king and all the people felt joyful. The king said to them, "The World-Honored One has already displayed miracles, now it is your turn." They had no courage and could not say a word. Then, the World-Honored One pressed the ground with his right toe, and the earth shook in six ways. The five hundred hermits whom the six teachers had previously searched for in all directions, who were dwelling in the forest near the snowy mountains, thought, "This earthquake is a signal from the six teachers." So they flew through the sky and came. They relied on the great light emitted by the World-Honored One and came, and upon seeing the Buddha's body, they were filled with faith. They landed on the ground, prostrated themselves at the feet of the World-Honored One, and the World-Honored One taught them the Dharma, and they realized the truth. They requested to be ordained, and the World-Honored One ordained them with "Welcome, Bhikshus."

The king rose from his seat, folded his palms, and bowed, saying: "Venerable One, it is I who request you to display them, for it will benefit and bring happiness to all beings." Then, the Teacher entered into meditative equipoise, disappeared from the seat, and displayed the four postures in the four directions of the sky. He entered into the fire element samadhi, emitted six rays of light, and displayed twin miracles such as flames burning and water flowing, as well as various other miraculous transformations, and then sat on the lion throne. These miracles are common to the Shravakas. The Bhagavan further said: "Who is it that requests the Tathagata to display unsurpassed miracles?" The king requested as before. The Bhagavan touched the ground with his right hand, and from beneath the earth emerged a golden lotus offered by the Nagas, the size of a chariot wheel, with a thousand petals, a stem adorned with various jewels, and a vajra pistil. The Bhagavan himself sat on the heart of that lotus. The lotus stem also became extremely large, extending all the way to Akanishta.
