Knowing that he would not become a vessel of ability, he wanted to teach the Dharma to Lag-bgyud. Lag-bgyud got into a chariot and went out of the city at dawn, and Sngo-sangs-ma got into a chariot and came into the city. The yokes of the two chariots met, and they asked each other. Recognizing each other, Lag-bgyud said to her, "Go home, I will come soon." Then he went to the Teacher. When the Teacher taught the Dharma to Lag-bgyud, he attained the fruit of non-return. After that, Lag-bgyud returned home, and the family held a grand feast to celebrate. He said to Sngo-sangs-can, "I have attained the fruit of non-return, so I will no longer enjoy sensual pleasures. If you want to go back to your father's house, go ahead. If you want to stay here, stay with the feeling of being siblings." Sngo-sangs-ma also had little attachment to sensual pleasures, and thought, "It is wonderful that I have met such a noble being." So she respectfully served Lag-bgyud as a disciple or with the feeling of being siblings, and stayed there. At that time, the Teacher was staying in the hermitage of the Deer Park. The people of the Deer Park made extensive offerings, and countless gods and humans in that area converted to the truth. Not long after, Lag-bgyud passed away from the Deer Park and was born as a god in the Heaven of No Heat among the Pure Abodes. At another time, the Blessed One came to the Deer Park. He came to listen to the Dharma, his body appearing like gold in color, his light blazing brightly, making it difficult to look at. He came without obstruction through mountains and lands, etc., and stood before the Teacher. Because it was difficult to stay on the earth of the desire realm, the Teacher instructed, "Generate the thought of earth." So he stayed there and listened to the vast Dharma. He was very happy and satisfied, and then disappeared and appeared in the Heaven of No Heat. The fourth story is about the city of Narasingha (sGra-sgrogs): The Blessed One was again staying in the Garden of Light ('Od-ma'i tshal). In the past, the two cities of Narasingha and Rajagriha had prosperity and decline alternating. At that time, both cities were very prosperous. At that time, Narasingha had King Utrayana.

After that, when the merchants from the central region returned, they presented King Rupakaya (name of a king) with a box filled with precious jewels, saying, "You are our unseen friend. If there is anything you need help with in the city of Noise (name of a city), I will do my best to accomplish it." King Rupakaya also returned a box filled with various exquisite fabrics, and sent a message in advance. The city of Noise has a lot of jewels, but lacks fine fabrics. The situation in Magadha is the opposite. In this way, the merchants exchanged gifts with each other. Once, Uttarayana asked the merchants of Magadha, "What is the stature of your king?" They replied, "He is like a god. However, other kings need to fight." Then, Uttarayana presented a precious armor that was comfortable to touch the body at any time, difficult to cut, difficult to penetrate, could detoxify, and had luster, possessing these five qualities. He instructed, "Do not give this to anyone other than yourself." Afterwards, the merchants returned and offered the armor. King Rupakaya had the appraisers evaluate it, but all of them determined that it could not be valued. King Rupakaya could not find a return gift of equal value and became unhappy. The Brahmin Summer Actor requested, "In the land where the gods reside, the Buddha has appeared, please draw a picture of him and send it." The king asked the teacher, who agreed. The king summoned the artisans to draw the picture, but no matter how hard they tried, they could not capture the Buddha's features and became frustrated. The teacher released an image of light that was like his body, and then the painters filled it with colors, eventually completing a cloth painting. Below the painting, the refuge formula, the five precepts, and the words of dependent origination in forward and reverse order were written. Above, the two verses of the Pratimoksha Sutra, such as "One should strive, one should exert oneself," were written. Then, he told the messenger, "Unfold this painting in the open space of the city of Noise, and ask what this is and what that is.
