Who prayed and attained happiness? There, they developed faith and, having heard the Dharma, saw the truth. All of them renounced the world and were soon established in the state of Arhat. Then, at the time of laying the foundation for the monastery, one end of the thread was held by the noble Shariputra, and the other end was held by Anathapindika. When the first line was drawn, the noble one smiled. When the householder asked the reason for this, he made it known that "In the heavenly realm of Tushita, a golden palace of forty yojanas has also been completed." Then, when the second line was drawn, that golden palace became made of four kinds of precious jewels. Then, gradually, in the center there was a large monastery, surrounded by sixteen monasteries and sixty small pavilions, with outer walls and all kinds of provisions fully provided. The youth Jetakumara also perfected the gatehouse. Fortieth, inviting to Shravasti: Then, wanting to invite the Blessed One and his retinue, the householder asked the noble Shariputra, "How much distance does the Thus-Gone One travel each day?" He replied, "Like a Chakravartin king, a distance of ten yojanas." Then, from Shravasti to Rajagriha, they calculated the overnight stays and built a house for giving alms at each overnight stop. In addition, they prepared offerings for each time and hour, built places for horses to rest, arranged for parasols and food, repaired the roads, and decorated them with all kinds of ornaments. A messenger was sent to invite the Blessed One, and the messenger went to Rajagriha, prostrated at the feet of the Teacher, and requested him to come to Shravasti. Then, the Blessed One, together with the Sangha of monks, traveled through the regions between Rajagriha and Shravasti, passing through the places where the householder had respectfully prepared offerings. The Blessed One was tamed, and his retinue was tamed; he was peaceful, and his retinue was peaceful; he was liberated, and his retinue was liberated; he was comforted, and his retinue was comforted; he was completely tamed, and his retinue was completely tamed; he was an Arhat, and his retinue was an Arhat; he was free from desire, and his retinue was free from desire; like the sun surrounded by a thousand rays of light.

Like a fence. The body is like a precious mountain, able to walk. The light is a fathom long. Adorned with marks and signs. Possessing great compassion. They are the great Sangha of monks, as well as the assembly of beings such as the householder Anathapindika, and hundreds of thousands of gods attending, as soon as they placed their feet on the threshold of the city gate, the great earth shook in six ways. The entire world was filled with light. From the sky, the gods rained down flowers and proclaimed the sound of music. The high and low places of the earth became level. Elephants, horses, and supreme herds all made sounds. All musical instruments and vessels emitted their own sounds. The blind gained sight. The deaf heard sounds. The mute were able to speak. Those who lacked faculties had their faculties fully perfected. Those intoxicated by alcohol and poison, and those who harbored enmity towards each other, were pacified. Pregnant women gave birth safely. Those imprisoned were released. Those without wealth found wealth. Such wondrous phenomena, not manifested through miraculous displays, but arising spontaneously, are therefore called various rare wonders. This refers to the teacher along with his retinue being invited by kings or householders, etc., both above and below, and applies to any place they had not visited before. Then, the Blessed One went to the temple built by the householder, and in the midst of the Sangha of monks, sat on the prepared seat. The householder Anathapindika, together with his relatives and retinue, respectfully held a golden vase and tried to pour water, but the water could not flow from the vase. Then, thinking that he had done something wrong, he was displeased. The Blessed One said: It is not so. However, you have already offered this direction to the Buddhas of the past, so pour water in another direction. When he poured there, water flowed. The way of offering to the Buddhas of the past was: In the time of the Buddha Vipashyin, he became a householder named Krkin; in the time of the Buddha Sikhin, he became a householder named Vrihann; in the time of the Buddha Vishvabhu, he became a householder named Shuchin; in the time of the Buddha Krakucchanda, he became a householder named Varada; in the time of the Buddha Kanaka,
