Having arrived at the city of Mitru, he took off the five royal accoutrements—the headdress, umbrella, sword, whisk, and shoes—and entrusted them to the long-haired attendant, while he himself kept watch over the servants at the temple gate. Having heard that the king had some secret business, the retinue waited there. Then, entering the temple, he prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One and made many requests with great devotion. The Blessed One also extensively bestowed teachings on the Dharma, like nectar. After staying there for a long time, the long-haired attendant thought: "Now, if I do not enthrone Holy-born as king, he might kill my father, King Light, and it would also be harmful to me." So, taking the five royal accoutrements, he returned to Shravasti and enthroned Holy-born as king. When King Light bowed at the feet of the Teacher and came out of the temple, there were no servants or chariots. When he inquired, they said, "They have been gone for a long time." The king himself walked a little way and met two consorts. When he told them what had happened, they said, "I always pray that Holy-born may attain the kingdom and enjoy happiness. It is good if he obtains the kingdom today. Garlanded One, you have already experienced the happiness of my kingdom; now go and experience the kingdom of my son." Having said this, he went to the royal palace together with Summer-increasing-mother. Then, Holy-born, intending to destroy the Shakyas, prepared his army and came. The Teacher thought, "There are still many Shakyas who have not seen the truth." So he saw a dried-up Shakota tree by the roadside, with sparse leaves and a small shadow, and sat under it. When Holy-born saw him, he prostrated at his feet and asked, "Why have you abandoned other good trees and are sitting here?" The Teacher replied, "This was planted by my relatives, so the shade of relatives is very cool." Then Holy-born thought, "The Blessed One is very compassionate towards his relatives, the Shakyas." So once again, he turned back his army and left. Then the Blessed One's

Then he went to Sarnath and the grove of Deva-darshana. Again, he taught the Dharma to the Shakyas in accordance with their faculties, and all the Shakyas who had not seen the truth before saw the truth. Except for children who had just been born and whose bodies were still very weak, and a few who held wrong views, all the men, women, young men, and young women of the Shakya clan, as well as their male and female slaves who lived on leftovers, saw the truth. In the lands of the Shakyas, such as Kapilavastu, it was as if one could not find ordinary people even if one searched diligently, except for noble ones. Thus, all the relatives of the Blessed One and those who relied on him obtained ultimate and unsurpassed happiness. At that time, King Prasenajit, the final act of the sinful Angulimala, and the slaughter of seventy-seven thousand Shakyas, and so on, the experiences of happiness and suffering of the Shakya clan manifested in a terrifying manner. The one hundred and eighth story is about the prophecy of the Brahmin Gampo being predicted to attain enlightenment. After that, the Blessed One was staying in the grove of Light in Rajagriha. At that time, on a mountain in the south, there was a Brahmin named Gampo, who was very wealthy and was engaged in a large-scale sacrificial offering. All the non-Buddhists and Brahmins came to his sacrificial site to receive offerings. He thought, 'It would be good if the Shramana Gautama would also come to receive my sacrificial offering.' The Blessed One, knowing his thoughts, led a thousand monks to that place. Those Brahmins and beggars were blessed so that they could only see the Blessed One alone and could not see the other attendants. Then, the Brahmin Gampo saw the Teacher coming and said, 'Shramana, please come and enjoy my sacrificial offering!' The Blessed One said, 'First, please fill my bowl, and then I will enjoy it.' So, he poured in a lot of food, but the bowl was not filled. The Brahmin became arrogant and thought, 'I am performing a sacrificial offering, but he cannot even fill my bowl.' So, he increased the amount of food, enough to satisfy a thousand people, but the bowl was still not filled. He said:
