Whatever virtues have been accumulated, may I, through this root of goodness, attain supreme enlightenment. In the suffering of samsaric beings, with the mind of a child, whatever unbearable sins have been committed, before the one with the ten powers, I confess each and every one of those sins. The suffering of birth, the suffering of existence, the suffering of the world, the suffering of a wandering mind, the various sufferings of bodily actions, whatever sins I have accumulated, I confess them all. The suffering of childish ignorance and afflictions, the suffering of encountering evil friends, the suffering of existence, the suffering of desire, the suffering of hatred, delusion, and darkness, the suffering of fatigue, the suffering of time, and the suffering of practicing virtue, etc., before the Victorious Ones who are truly present, I confess each and every one of those sins. Thus, one should diligently recite the confession that comes from the Sutra of Golden Light. Because of my ignorance and delusion, whatever I have done, whether it be a natural transgression or a transgression of precepts, whatever it may be, in the presence of the protectors, with palms joined, with a mind of suffering and fear, I prostrate again and again, and I confess all of them. I beseech the guides to regard my sins as faults. Since this is not good, I will never do it again in the future. I rejoice in the ocean of merit, the mind of benefiting all sentient beings, and in the deeds that benefit sentient beings. To the Buddhas of all directions, I pray with palms joined, for sentient beings who are lost in the darkness of suffering, I pray that the lamp of the Dharma may be lit. To the Victorious Ones who wish to pass into Nirvana, I pray with palms joined, do not abandon these wandering beings, I pray that you remain for countless eons. Having done all these things in this way, whatever merit I have accumulated, may it eliminate all the suffering of all sentient beings. May wish-fulfilling jewels and excellent vases, accomplished mantras and great medicines, and wish-granting trees, become the fulfillment of the desires of sentient beings. May the great elements such as earth, and like the sky, be constant, and may they become the basis for the various necessities of countless sentient beings. Likewise, to the realm of sentient beings that extends to the edge of the sky, at all times,

In the meantime, may I also become a cause for sustenance, until the essence of enlightenment exists, I take refuge in all the Buddhas, and likewise, I take refuge in the Dharma and the assembly of Bodhisattvas. Just as the Sugatas of the past generated the mind of enlightenment, and abide in the training of the Bodhisattvas, in that order, I too, for the benefit of sentient beings, will generate the mind of enlightenment, and in the training of the Bodhisattvas, I will also train in that order. Thus, reciting these three verses three times, one takes the generation of the mind. Now my life has meaning, I have well obtained the state of a human being, today I am born into the family of the Buddha, I have now become a child of the Buddha. From now on, I will, in every way, engage in actions that are in accordance with the lineage, and in this stainless lineage of the Sangha, I will not allow it to become defiled, I will act in this way. Today, in the presence of all protectors, I have invited sentient beings and the Sugata themselves, as well as the intermediate happiness, as guests, may the gods and non-gods, etc., be joyful. With these virtuous deeds of mine, may I quickly attain enlightenment in this world, and for the benefit of sentient beings, I will also teach the Dharma, liberating them from the torment of many sufferings of sentient beings. These are the seven branches, together with taking the generation of the mind. If one prefers a slightly abbreviated version, one can make an immeasurable ocean of offering clouds, or any of the many offerings. Above the prostrations, add the prostrations of praise, then there is no need for praise during the offering. If it is extremely abbreviated, one can suffice with just the seven branches that come from the "Bodhicaryāpraṇidhānarāja". The request to remain, etc., and the actual practice of generating the mind should be taken as above. In any case, after those have preceded, one should meditate on the true meaning, or recite the Guru's supplication, or recite sutras, or give tormas, or recite dharanis, or practice praise and accomplishment, etc., to the best of one's ability, and finally, in Sanskrit: Āryaṣaṭmukhi nāma dhāraṇi. In Tibetan: The Dharani called the Noble Six-Faced One. Homage to the Noble Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta. Thus have I heard, at one time, the Bhagavan was on the pure celestial courtyard, in the middle of the sky.
