If you want to practice extensively, you should also perform this elimination of impurities after completing the above two purifications. If you prefer brevity, you can only perform the two purifications, or you can do it before the elimination. Fifth is bathing: First remove the previous offerings, arrange some new offerings, and bless them in your mind. Then, the Karma Vajra arranges the bathing container, the oiling container, and the wiping container neatly, and holds the mirror, the clean water bottle, and the clean cloth for wiping the Buddha image. First, perform the lower bathing. There are five types of bathing: five amritas, five milks, wonderful fragrance, emblica powder, and rapeseed powder. It is best if all of these can be prepared. If they cannot all be prepared, use as much as you can get. The five amritas are: milk, yogurt, butter, honey, and white sugar. The five milks are: red cow's milk, yogurt, butter, dung, and water. These are applied first to eliminate impurities, so they are called bathing. Oiling is applying fragrant sesame oil. Wiping is said to be done with the powder of five tree barks, but it cannot be found in Tibet, so bean flour is used instead, which is also a cleaning agent.
