Therefore, it is called Vajradhara. Draw the mandala of the Vajra-holder. May all come here now. Please grant accomplishment here. Three times. Offer with argham to shabda. Recite the essence mantra slightly. Om Vajra Udhistha Hum Phet (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨུ་དྷིཥྛ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra udhiṣṭha hūṃ phaṭ,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚,起立,吽,啪). Thus, raise it to the sky. The mandala enters the center of the union of the sun and moon. The upper lamas said to adorn with a garland of Ali Kali. Then recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Make prayers and auspiciousness as appropriate. No other subsequent rituals are needed. Third, the preparation of the disciple will be explained below. If doing the deity's day, then before and after the torma offering, and after the mandala has been raised to the sky, it is the same wherever it is done in these three situations. These are based on the mandala ritual of Smarchenpo and the division of sentences from Indian texts. The Tibetan lamas of this tradition mostly follow the practice sequence that is in agreement with other mandala rituals. Because it is in accordance with the sequence of common mandala rituals, and because these kinds of teachings are easy to recognize, and because it is the lineage of practice, the sequence of practice should be like this. However, in the explicit teachings of the text, the sequence appears to be different. Although there are those that mix the ground ritual and preparation, which are commonly known in mandala rituals, the explicit teachings of the Indian texts themselves are not mixed and the sequence is not confused. That is, in this mandala ritual, it does not speak of examining the ground. It is intended that the characteristics of the place have already been explained in other texts. Therefore, at this time, after the extensive self-generation has preceded, the ground is raised from the earth lord. Purification has karma, mantra, fire offering, and purification without characteristics. Thus it is said. For the first, there is an extensive explanation with one verse, "Constant feasting." The others are not extensively explained, and the meaning is as explained above. In terms of taking the ground, it is said that the ground is taken by wisdom and deities. The first is as commonly explained. Taking the ground by the deities is to place a skull cup on the ground of the mandala. While reciting the mantras of the assembly of deities, throwing flowers there, thinking that the deities of the mandala instantly come and take possession of the ground, make offerings and praise.

One should contemplate without focusing on a specific place. Ordinary places, such as the Vajra Throne, etc., also merely possess this meaning. In the actual text, there is no detailed explanation of the two "holding." Then, in this instance, the vases are arranged on the ground of the mandala, and placed on top of a mandala painted in accordance with the body color of the deity, and so on. The essence of the vase practice is the same as usual. Placing the assembly of deities of the vase on the ground of the mandala is also the deities of the mandala taking possession of the ground. Considering that this vase practice alone is sufficient, it was not explained during the preparatory stage. Protecting the ground is: on the ground of the mandala, fully contemplate the self-generation deity. Raise the mandala into the sky. With the pride of oneself having two hands, command the obstructing forces, and only speak of the common stake-step protective circle, becoming a net and a fence. Up to this point is the ground ritual. Then, the ritual of the earth goddess that is spoken of is the earth goddess preparation, and considering that this can accomplish the purpose, there is no ritual of the earth goddess during the ground ritual stage. Tibetan lamas explain this in reverse. Then, the teacher, with offerings, supplicates to the Buddhas of the ten directions, such as "Those who dwell in all directions without exception." The teacher mainly visualizes clearly and makes supplications in the four directions. After that, the actual deity preparation is: lowering the mandala of the sky, inviting the wisdom beings, and so on. Although there is no clear explanation of the rest, it is said that raising the mandala into the sky before the line colors, and it is okay to quote it here. The direct instruction of the text is: while the deities are dwelling, invite the vases that were previously practiced, and perform recitation and praise. With the action vase, perform only cleansing and sprinkling on the place and all the implements. Then, separate with a curtain, and the offerings should last through the night. Although it is not said to lower the oral transmission, it appears in the Secret General Tantra, so it is good to do it. In any case, the next morning, first perform praise and then raise the mandala into the sky. Then perform the work of the line colors. During the vase preparation stage, there is the phrase "for the vase of complete recitation," therefore, relying on the vase practice to complete the recitation seems to be an indirect indication, but there is no need for recitation between taking possession of the ground and protecting it, therefore the ordinary of the text
