Practice these. When the basis of visualization becomes clear, slowly exhale a breath. Then, inhale the upper air and press it down to the lower abdomen. At the same time, contract the lower air and hold it in conjunction at the navel. If you feel a little uncomfortable, you should relax. That is, without releasing even a little of the previously held breath, inhale as little as possible again. At the navel, pull and press to the left, right, and center, holding your breath as much as possible. If you feel uncomfortable again, practice starting with a small force, then a large force in the middle, and finally releasing suddenly. Immediately after that, inhale again and practice as before. Before becoming proficient, if you feel tired, rest at intervals of four breaths, or eight, or twelve, or sixteen, or twenty, or twenty-four, or twenty-eight, or thirty-two breaths. It is not permissible to stop at will. The visualization is: the breaths enter through the nostrils, pass through the path of Ro-kyang (Tibetan: རོ་རྐྱང་, meaning single channel), and reach the junction of the three channels below the navel. By contracting the lower air, a very thin blue air rises from the air wheel of the anus, standing like a spear, and enters the lower end of the central channel. Thus, these three airs of Ro-kyang and downward-clearing wind, unite as one, blowing on the letter [རཾ་] (Tibetan, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Rang), from the letter [རཾ་] (Tibetan, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Rang), the fire of Tummo wisdom blazes. Like a burning candle, the tip of the flame is extremely thin and sharp, like a red hairbrush. Thin, bright, and shimmering, it burns longer and longer. After a few breaths, think that the letter [ཧཾ་] (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hang) on the crown of the head has a tactile sensation. Then, gradually, from the melting of the letter [ཧཾ་] (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hang), a stream of Bodhicitta descends, like a stretched white silk thread. Longer and longer, visualize it dissolving into the letter [རཾ་] (Tibetan, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Rang) at the navel. In general, there are three ways to visualize Tummo: only visualizing the fire, visualizing Bindu, and visualizing burning and dripping, this is the latter. In the latter, there are also fleeing and chasing, like tangled hair, like scattering red powder, and so on, this is the middle one. That is, both burning and dripping are continuous in the central channel. Among them, rather than taking the center of the central channel as the basis, it is better to visualize the flame burning in front and the Bodhicitta dripping behind. It is said that one should visualize in this way. Where does the firelight of the burning Tummo reach

When doing this, heat arises in the body, and when the light of bodhicitta descends, visualize that the whole body feels comfortable. During breaks between sessions, dedicate the merit to bodhi. This is the extensive visualization, the seventh visualization sequence. If a dull person uses this as abandonment and meditation, it is also acceptable to do one session each for the three channels, four chakras, syllables, wind combination, and burning and dripping. The intermediate visualization of consuming tummo as food is to abandon the parts about the channels, four chakras, and the navel girdle shape, and only meditate on the remaining parts as before. The condensed visualization is to abandon both sensation and emptiness on top of that. The different characteristic here is that the two breaths inhaled from the nostrils go down like spears from the left and right sides of the central channel. When it reaches about six or eight fingers below the navel and meets the wind that is contracting upwards from the lower wind, it bounces back up as if struck, and all enters the lower end of the central channel. You must think of stimulating (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: raṃ). The rest is the same. Thus, the intermediate and condensed visualizations are both contained within the extensive visualization, so they are not listed separately. They are all contained within the seventh visualization sequence. The reason is that whether it is the extensive, intermediate, or condensed visualization, all three must be obtained from the lama, and then you should meditate on any one of them according to your own preference. Even though there is only one visualization sequence, it is not contradictory to do separate dharma session practices when explaining it. Here, in the old lineage instruction manuals written by scholars such as Khetsun Gyaltsen Bumpa, it is said that in the preliminary fire clearing, the legs are crossed in the lotus position, and in the main practice of consuming tummo as food, the six fire hearths must be bound. But because it depends on the lama's instructions, this is a confused explanation of the oral instructions. You must do only what was said above. Consuming tummo as food is the main practice of tummo. The scriptures say: "The self-body is skillful, with three channels and four chakras, adorned with A Hum burning, dripping, and instantaneous bliss." The actual meaning of the teaching that is spoken is this. Meditating on the syllable (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: raṃ) includes the meaning of meditating on the short (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: a) syllable at the navel. Even though the four chakras are not actually meditated on in the intermediate and condensed visualizations, because the entire central channel has been meditated on, the central channel itself is the center of the four chakras.
