从手的胜施中，降下了犹如甘露乳汁般的涓流。饮用后，便不再衰老，活到三百年，保持着十六岁左右的年龄。又一位居士，在度母的寺庙里祈祷时，有一天，他向度母像的脚下顶礼膜拜，从脚下出现了一个石制的宝瓶。从那个宝瓶中，源源不断地涌现出如他所愿的受用，为五百位僧侣提供了三十年的生活所需。圣者龙树圆寂后，直到国王达摩波罗出现之前，也有大约五千人依靠度母获得了成就。据说，当时的人们依靠度母出现的续部，大多获得了成就。这些就是度母续部早期是如何兴盛的情况。中间稍微衰落的情况是：在国王达摩波罗晚年，据说是在一些持律比丘的劝说下，也有人说是刚登上王位的时候。但明确记载是佛陀耶舍圆寂之后，所以以前的说法是正确的。无论如何，他走遍了太阳下的所有拥有密咒典籍和听闻讲说的土地，非常仔细地研究，了解了续部中各种口诀的安住方式后，由于时代的特殊性，像以前一样秘密修持密咒的情况不再出现，大瑜伽续部等的听闻讲说禅修三种修行在世间公开弘扬，因此广泛宣讲《集密》等用金刚语装饰的经典，并宣布以后不要讲授那些非常隐秘且有矛盾的语句。于是，包括《吉祥黑汝嘎续》的一些章节、《大黑天》、《度母出现》、《猛厉忿怒尊》、《四座法》的业鬘等一些大续部，以及成就者们迎请来的五百部左右或一千部左右的小续部，总之，收集了所有非常多的典籍，装入了八个巨大的金匣中。然后将它们放入银器等珍宝之中。

From the supreme generosity of the hand, a stream like nectar-milk descended. Having drunk it, one became free from aging, living for three hundred years, remaining at the age of about sixteen. Furthermore, a certain lay devotee, while praying in a Tara temple, one day prostrated to the feet of the Tara statue, and a stone vase appeared from beneath the feet. From within that vase, inexhaustible enjoyments arose as desired, providing sustenance for five hundred monks for thirty years. After the passing of the noble Nagarjuna, until the appearance of King Dharmapala, about five thousand people attained siddhis by relying on Tara. It is said that at that time, people mostly attained accomplishment by relying on the Tara-arising tantra. These are the ways in which the Tara tantra flourished in the past. The way it slightly declined in the intermediate period was: towards the end of King Dharmapala's life, it is said that it was at the instigation of some Vinaya-holding monks, or it is also said that it was at the time of his immediate enthronement. However, it is clearly stated that it was after the passing of Buddha Yeshe, so the former is correct. In any case, he traveled to all the lands under the sun where there were secret mantra texts and listening and explanations, and having examined them very carefully, and knowing all the ways in which the individual instructions resided within the tantras, due to the peculiarity of the times, the practice of secretly practicing secret mantras as before did not occur, and the three practices of listening, explanation, and meditation of the Mahayoga tantras became very widespread in the world. Therefore, extensively teach those such as the Guhyasamaja, which are adorned with vajra words, and proclaim that those very secret and contradictory statements should not be taught in the future. Thus, some chapters of the Shri Heruka Tantra, Mahakala, Tara-arising, Tummo Krodha, the Garland of Action of the Four Seats, and some other great tantra classes, as well as about five hundred or perhaps a thousand small sections of tantras that were invited by the siddhas, in short, all the copies of the very many texts were collected and placed in eight large golden chests. These were then placed in silver vessels and other precious items.

It was placed in a vessel of seven precious substances and buried in the Cool Grove charnel ground. It is said that at that time, the hearing and explanation of this tantra were also interrupted for a while. The way it later flourished was that before the master Tilopa attained accomplishment, when he was residing in a monastery in the east, light repeatedly emanated from under the throne of a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, and he heard the sound of music from time to time. When he dug up the ground and looked, this Tara Tantra appeared, but at that time he could not find anyone to ask about it. Later, after attaining realization, when he went to the land of Oddiyana in the west, he saw a blue-skinned woman with the marks of a dakini. He showed her the signs spoken of in the tantra, and she also responded with signs. When he prayed there, she transformed into the goddess Tara and blessed the tantra and bestowed empowerment. She then taught it to the master Naropa. He taught it to Dombhipa, Kanakashri, Kandhapa, and Thakkinagnapa. Dombhipa requested it from Little Kusala. He requested it from Asita Ghana. He heard it from Jnanamitra. He heard it from the great accomplished one Shiwaba. He heard it from my three lamas. Also, Tilopa requested it from Lila Vajra. He requested it from Rahula Gupta. He requested it from Dipamkara Shrijnana. He requested it from Madhyama Siddha. He requested it from Tara Shrimitra. Then in succession: Sanghashri, Ratnadhaja, Nayakashri, Dharmashri, Shakya Rakshita, Sujata, Buddha Shri Bhadra, Jnana Ratna, Jnana Syana, Rate Gupta. He gave it to the great master Shiwaba. Also, Kandhapa, Prikapa, Dhupiraja, Harebhanjapa, and Aseta Ghana can also transmit the lineage. Also, it is said that Kanakashri, Lokapradha, Chojung Shiwaba, and others also have lineages. Pakkinagnapa told it to the master Mandirapala. In this way, many different lineages flourished in the intermediate period, but later it remained only with the great accomplished one Shiwaba, so now it is widely spreading from him. Among these, those whose histories have already been recorded elsewhere should be known in those places, and those not recorded there will be explained. This Kanakashri was born in Kashri Mina Magadha in Nepal, ordained from the Kurukulle group, and studied sutras and tantras at Namnon Tsul Monastery.
