In short, when these appear, there is nothing other than the sky, trees, and pebbles. Even though there is nothing, it appears as such depending on these causes and conditions, just like the nature of the mind is free from elaboration from the beginning, and is merely the nature of self-awareness. Although all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana, the conventional, appear, they are not in its essence even at the time of appearance, and only self-awareness remains. Just as illusions and emanations do not arise without the sky, etc., the phenomena of samsara and nirvana do not arise without the mind itself, so it is said that they are emanated by it. However, there is no connection whatsoever between what is emanated and the emanator, because it is like an illusion, a true illusion, therefore it is a great illusion. It itself is the master of all the perfections of the unsurpassed, truly complete enlightenment, therefore it is called the Great Lord. This great illusion, by meditating on the path, completely exhausts all the dharmas of samsara, therefore it is also called the Great Wrathful Mother. Thus, it is also said in the Hevajra Tantra: "One's self steals and one's self does, one's self is the king, one's self is the lord." Not only does the four elements arise from emptiness, and the aggregates of objects transformed from the elements, forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures, arise in the manner of illusory appearances, but also, like the disappearance of illusory appearances, they are truly gathered in a manner without coming and going. For example, just as all water waves are pervaded by water, all conventional appearances are not truly existent. All the dharmas of how they exist are completely pervaded by one's own mind as the sole master. The meaning is that the dharmas are not different. Similarly, it is said that the moving sentient beings and the non-moving container world, all three of these, are pervaded by the nature of all knowable things, the very nature of the mind, in the manner of the cause of the doer, and also pervaded in the manner of essence and self-nature being the same. When meditating on such a dharma, from then on, all these impure appearances, because they are realized to be non-existent from the beginning, are completely gathered into that realm in a manner that there is nothing to abandon, becoming the secrets of body, speech, and mind.
