The Mahamudra of the Ra and Rong traditions is the Mahamudra of the New Tantra school. Although both traditions are based on the lineage reaching the master Marpa, Marpa, Rongpa, and Tsur are the traditions of mantra practitioners. Lord Mila also thought so in meaning, saying in the Eighteen Questions and Answers, "Secret mantra is the greatness of (action). I do not say that the view is high." And, when giving oral instructions to Lord Dagpo, he would not say, "Without pure wisdom," nor would he say, "Put it on unprocessed butter," but rather, "Practice tummo athung! Someday you will see the nature of mind," as an example. Therefore, many later people, based on the ultimate view of Marpa and Rongpa being the reality Mahamudra itself, make many bluffs, but in reality it is difficult to achieve. There is a danger of becoming empty talk. Therefore, it is necessary to know how to distinguish different views, and to know a view that does not conflict on the key points. Here too, the temporary trick is a great method of transmitting the ultimate wisdom to transcendence, so although the Dharma language is different, it should be understood that the key to the meaning is the same. Now entering the main text, enhancing the previous experience is: The nature of appearance is unborn, the nature of samsara is rootless, the nature of mind is union, the nature of the guru is lineage. It is said that this was written by Jowo Naropa on the handle of the umbrella. That is to say, these various appearances now are not actually established. If one focuses on any object that appears in front of oneself, such as a vase or blanket, then one is deceived by the difference in construction of that mere appearance. If one analyzes the various parts of the object itself, then each part does not have a vase or blanket, etc., nor is there a whole that is not a part, and there is nothing established other than these two. Therefore, if one looks with very subtle eyes, there is no vase or blanket. If one does not analyze, then emptiness itself clearly appears as a vase or blanket. In this way, the external object of grasping is not established. Because it is not established, the consciousness of the grasper is also mistaken. Because the object of grasping as the cause and the object of grasping as the result do not establish the truth in the previous moment, therefore, the arising of appearance in the later moment is also just an illusion, and nothing is established other than that. Meditating on this repeatedly is the seventh point of meditation. In this way, because all dharmas are unborn, samsara also

It is not existent; if it were, it would have to arise from a single fundamental cause. However, samsara appears to arise from the fundamental karma, afflictions, and habitual tendencies. Yet, since karma, afflictions, and habitual tendencies themselves are not established from the beginning, samsara is also without root or basis. Contemplation Round Eight: Settle the mind on the nature of mind, which does not exist in any of the three places—outer, inner, or intermediate—and where no characteristics such as color or shape are established. Contemplation Round Nine: It is also not merely emptiness; in a state where no inherent nature is established, there exists the essence of awareness. Contemplation Round Ten: Remember the awareness of the nature of bliss experienced during the three of the four empowerments. Regarding this, there are terms such as appearance is mind, mind is emptiness, and emptiness is bliss. This is the tenth contemplation round. The method for realizing it is the blessing of the lama, so pray and please the lama with all that is pleasing. Up to this point, there are eleven contemplation rounds. Furthermore, there are introductions such as the self-liberation of the senses, mind arising as wisdom, the meeting of non-duality, yoga like a flowing river, many as one taste, individual self-awareness, like a butter lamp, the inseparability of samsara and nirvana, and the non-difference of equipoise and subsequent attainment. This is said under the assumption that meditation has become proficient. This Dharma tradition is not a system that separates the Six Dharmas of Mahamudra; it is a system that unifies them as the Great Seal of Clear Light. Secondly, regarding the instructions on meditating on clear light, there are two aspects: establishing the basis of clear light and enhancing experience. The first is what is called the Empowerment Experience Mahamudra: if you do not abandon conceptual thoughts, you are a sentient being; if you abandon them, you are a Buddha. It is said that abandoning them requires E-VAM (藏文,梵文天城体:ऐवं,梵文罗马拟音:evam,汉语字面意思:Thus). E (藏文,梵文天城体:ऐ,梵文罗马拟音:e,汉语字面意思:Thus) is space, and VAM (藏文,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vam,汉语字面意思:Control) binds awareness into an unmoving state. The essential instruction for this is: maintain the key points of the body, gaze into space, and combine the hand mudra of the six-branch yoga, just like the yoga of daytime. If you meditate on this, dullness will not occur, the five signs will immediately appear, non-conceptualization will arise, and warmth and bliss will naturally occur. The second is enhancing experience: if it is clear, visualize yourself as having eight faces and sixteen arms; if it is withdrawn, visualize yourself as the union of father and mother or as the selflessness mother. Visualize a red lotus and sun at the heart, with a black HŪṂ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) syllable upon it, from which light radiates.
