Because self-nature does not exist. Because all that is produced and the producer cannot be determined by self-nature. As the noble teacher said: 'Not from oneself, not from another, not from both, nor without cause. Wherever there is a thing, there is never any birth.' And so on, it is appropriate to apply extensively. Thus, because of dependent arising, birth is not ascertained. Therefore, the essence of all things is not existent, because it is not ascertained in any way. But it should not be said to be non-existent either, because the appearance of infallible cause and effect does not cease. As the noble one said: 'Seeing birth with cause, one does not accept it as non-existent. Seeing cessation with cause, one does not accept it as existent either.' That itself refutes being both. And the fourth alternative is not possible. Of these three, having passed beyond, it is without elaboration and beyond expression. If things are compounded by causes and conditions, then what is the nature of reality? Although there is no other nature of reality apart from the things that are spoken of, the nature of reality itself is not compounded by causes and conditions, because in ultimate truth there are no causes and conditions.

Its unchanging nature is solely emptiness. For the sake of taking that, the mandala is the correct knowledge of that very nature, and that emptiness is also all forms, and the one who realizes and takes it is also the self-awareness of great bliss wisdom, which is free from all characteristics of elaboration. The meaning of the words is that realizing the nature of the mind's great bliss, free from elaboration, with no distinction between the knower and the known, is the spontaneously accomplished mandala of ultimate truth. From the perspective of essence, it is not newly produced but spontaneously accomplished, and it is also the mandala of all forms. Thus, it is also said that 'mandala' means essence; the mind of enlightenment is great bliss; because it takes, it is the mandala itself; accumulation is said to be the mandala itself. Thus, the mandala of the union of bliss and emptiness, the purity of self-awareness, is not liberated by others, because the objects of the realm are pure, and one's own awareness is supreme bliss. Thus, that supreme bliss is also said to be self-awareness. Fifth, spontaneous accomplishment is that which is completely free from the stains of nature and is spontaneously accomplished. Because all the qualities of understanding the bliss and emptiness of inner nature abide as spontaneously accomplished in essence, the Dharmakaya is spontaneously accomplished in whatever mind it is in. That which is called spontaneous accomplishment, as it is said, 'Spontaneous accomplishment without conceptualization,' is often explained as all qualities and activities arising without effort while not conceptualizing. In the treatises of the Mahayana Uttaratantra Shastra and in the sutras that enter into inconceivable qualities and wisdom, it is explained only in that way and connected to the time of fruition. Here, it is connected to the meaning of being present from the beginning and existing from the beginning, showing that the essence of the wisdom of fruition is also accomplished from the time of the basis. Sixth, equality is the complete abandonment of all grasping at duality, and the manifestation of the single nature of all phenomena, without impure appearances and without the movement of conceptualization. From the perspective of seeing conventional truth, it is also like having no love or hatred and abandoning oneself to being smeared with sandalwood or cut with a knife, which is the result of abandoning afflictions, and one and many, near and far, and so on.

Becoming equal. The absence of breadth and narrowness in all dharmas is the fruit of abandoning the obscurations of knowledge, which is the meaning of equality. Seventh is union: the dharmas of the form body of skillful means, conventional truth, and the dharmas of wisdom, ultimate truth, becoming equal is union. Just as the reality of objects lacks the nature of duality, so too does wisdom not appear as dual. That is, the six dharmas previously mentioned are non-dual and do not appear. Eighth, that which possesses the characteristics of the seven branches of path and fruit, skillful means and wisdom, is not understood by mere attachment to conceptual thought. What is taught is a verse quoted from the Tantra of Total Conduct: Just as a young woman who delights in the talk of children, that is, is fond of talk of desire, agrees with it, says she will go to the place of desire, and speaks of meeting, but does not experience joy, so too is the bad path of yoga fruitless. Here, the bad path refers to being infatuated with sound concepts and being taught by ordinary beings without the instructions of the noble ones. It teaches that bad path and also utters mantras, but if one is completely attached, it becomes a bondage. Therefore, in all paths, detachment without arrogance is very important. Second, explaining the remaining five branches: pervasiveness, bliss, permanence, body, and union. First, in pervasiveness, there are two aspects: that of abandonment and that of realization. The first is the Sanskrit term for pervasiveness. Derived from the word "Vibhu (藏文:བི་བྷུ་,梵文天城体:विभु,梵文罗马拟音:vibhu,汉语字面意思:遍布)", it means to obtain completely and to arise from separation. That is, completely separating from all obscurations arises from abandoning incompatible aspects, just as obtaining the wealth of kingship from being separated from enemies. To obtain completely from what is true, if there were initially a stain, it would be impossible to abandon it. Because it has been completely pure from stains since beginningless time, one obtains the cessation of abandoning stains, which is the truth of cessation, unconditioned dharma-nature, which has no distinctions, therefore it means pervading all things. Second, there is no near or far for places, it pervades all beings, that is, all persons, and because there is no near or far in the three times, it is pervasive. Second is permanence, that is, the wisdom of the mind is unchanging, and the self-appearing
