is emptiness itself. The elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, all these that appear as external objects, are the mind of the object, that is, the powerful and stable habituated mind that grasps the meaning of the object as external. Understand that it is because it has clearly taken on manifestation that it appears as the object to be grasped. The meaning of "taking" is that which was previously unclear and hidden, and is explained as if it were arising into manifestation, but although it does not contradict the meaning, it is not good from the point of view of the words, and it seems that it does not agree with the Sanskrit, and it contradicts the Tibetan usage, because the meanings of "taken" and "raised" are different. Therefore, the meaning of "taken" is the grasped and the grasper. Vairotsana translates: Know that which is taken into the realm of the mind. Thus, it is separated from all that is to be grasped. Moreover, there are no waves of arising mind of the grasper, the meaning of waves is various transformations, arising and ceasing, appearing and disappearing. Therefore, the nature of the grasper is also not established, it is non-dual, free from all elaboration. Great bliss is the union of equality, which is to enter the original state of co-emergence. In the commentary, it says: In this case, it explains the mandala of earth and wind, etc., which flow through the nostrils of the earth, etc., and the absence of waves means the absence of wind, and equality means transcendence of the vase, etc., and explains the absorption of wind, etc., which is deviating from the meaning of the occasion, so it is not seen as good. The nature of co-emergence is that which is encompassed by the two obscurations All faults are separated from the beginning. Therefore, to practice yoga on co-emergence is not the sin that causes suffering, nor the merit that creates the happiness of samsara, but only the virtue of the uncontaminated cause of liberation. The meditation on co-emergence is not sin or merit, because your object, the ultimate co-emergence, has no sin or merit established. There has never been an appearance of grasper and grasped, nor has it ever been stained by all faults, this great bliss of primordial co-emergence is the reality of the nature of knowable things, so said the clear Black Practitioner.

Who said that? Also, among those who claim to be Mahayana practitioners now, some seem to think that the Dharmadhatu is of the nature of non-obstructive self. Some give it the name of union, and some say it is merely wisdom. Although they want to be unpolluted by the obscurations of self-nature, they are hateful towards those who possess qualities. Know that it is impossible for things that do not exist in the knowable to be the object of investigation. The reality of self-nature, or the Dharmadhatu, or the ultimate truth, or the non-dual wisdom, or the Tathagatagarbha, etc., each according to their own wishes or admissions, are taken as the subject, (thinking) that they possess all qualities, because you are not polluted by any faults. This has pervasiveness, because not having qualities is itself a fault. Therefore, not having qualities is the nature of fault. If applied on one basis, the Dharmadhatu as the subject, it is not established that you are not polluted by the obscurations of not knowing what is and is not, because you do not know what is and is not. If it is thought that this cannot be determined by matter, etc., then, although when analyzing with reason, it is not admitted that matter is self-existent, it can be temporarily assumed that it exists. Permanent things and impermanent things as the subject, all have such obscurations, because you are the nature of obscurations, because this is only established by illusion. By analogy, obscurations do not exist in self-nature. In general, if it is thought that the Dharmadhatu has obscurations, then it will be established that it has all the qualities of self-nature, because it is free from all the faults of self-nature. If this is admitted, then our view is established. Furthermore, the Dharmadhatu as the subject, it is established that you have the qualities of marks and signs, because you are not polluted by the obscurations that hinder the appearance of marks and signs. Or, even if not polluted by obscurations, it is because the cause of obtaining it has been accumulated. If it is thought that the cause of obtaining it has not been accumulated, then, according to our view, this is an inherent quality, although it is not necessary to accumulate the cause of obtaining it, but temporarily for your sake, this statement is abandoned. Then, it as the subject, it is established that it is polluted by the faults of the obscurations that hinder obtaining it, because it has not accomplished the cause of obtaining it, and whatever has not been accomplished is a fault. The above is what was said.
